"Why would I make her leave when I didn't make you leave?" said Ina.
Kier smiled. It was a simple, sincere, if somewhat smug smile. "That question does have an answer. But I need you to find it on your own." Without turning, eyes always fixed ahead of him, Kier addressed the white fox. "Are you coming, then, Mint?"
The fox growled as it moved to stand in front of Kier, and sat on the floor.
"I'll take that as a yes." The Mage snapped his fingers and he was gone, Familiars with him.
"What did you do to him?" Athyn finally spoke. "How did you enchant him? How could you enchant him?"
Ina shook her head. "I didn't do anything to him."
"That's not true." Athyn shook her head too, looking accusingly at the Witch. "He trusts you. He's actually showing trust. What did you do to him?
