The man and his guide ran past Kier and Ina, a pack of savage Shadows chasing them. First, Kier uttered the arcane words to lift the treasure hunters in the air and hold them there. Then, with more utterance, he sent a small orb of light shooting through the air that exploded among the Shadows, who were consumed by white flames.
"Ah. Perfect," said Kier, satisfied as he looked at the two scared adventurers hanging in the air.
"What is?" asked Ina.
"I didn't think we'd run into them. But if all else fails, we can offer these two idiots to the Primordial as offerings to appease it."
