"Aerial combat, I'm quite good at it too..." Greed muttered to himself with a sinister tone. After saying that, he produced a card from somewhere and raised it, releasing a radiant light representing summoning. A strange-looking dragon, light green in color, shot out from it instantly. As soon as it appeared, it spewed a large flame towards the Thunder God trio, forcing them to dodge.
Each member of the Seven Deadly Sins had their own subordinate, and Greed had deliberately chosen this bizarre dragon as his underling. The reason was, of course, to enhance his own strength.
"Cursed Dragon, come!" Greed shouted, and suddenly his body emitted a radiant glow. The cursed dragon, like a loyal soldier, circled in the air and approached Greed.
A strange thing happened; the cursed dragon seemed to melt and permeate into Greed. Immediately, Greed's horse underneath underwent a bizarre transformation, turning into the form of the cursed dragon. The process was anything but gentle, even a bit horrifying.
The Thunder God trio, obviously startled by this sudden change, quickly reacted. Felid loudly commanded his two companions, "Spread out! Don't stay close together!"
At that moment, Greed, now riding the cursed dragon, sneered. In a blur, he disappeared from his original position and appeared behind Felid.
Simultaneously, he launched an almost indestructible conical short spear towards Felid. It seemed like Felid was about to be pierced through, ending up like Azuma, one of the Seven Kin of Purgatory.
In that instant, Felid's eyes showed a flash of panic, but it was just a momentary expression. He quickly regained his composure, and the Western Sword he held in his hand swiftly made several strokes, landing on his own body.
The next moment, the short spear pierced Felid's heart without any hindrance.
"Felid!" This scene shocked Bickslow and Evergreen, who immediately screamed in horror. However, Greed, who should have been jubilant, showed no signs of joy on his face.
"Dark Scripture: Distortion!"
Felid, who had been pierced, turned his head strangely, revealing his eye entangled in darkness. Sneering, he spoke, "Dark Scripture: Distortion" was a magic that distorted not attacks but the line of sight.
To explain Felid's magic, it involved two components: Setting Magic and Dark Scripture. Setting Magic, although powerful, was extremely inconvenient as it required advance placement on the battlefield. Therefore, in sudden combat situations, it was mostly useless. Felid's true combat ability came from his 'Dark Scripture', which wrote symbols that acted on the human senses or caused mutations. While Freed's Solid Script created natural elemental objects, Felid's Dark Scripture created alterations directly affecting the human senses or causing mutations, such as pain, fear, death, etc.
Dark Scripture: Distortion, in this case, distorted not the attack but the line of sight.
Therefore, it appeared that Greed had pierced Felid, but in reality, Felid himself made the attack miss, hitting beside him instead.
Seeing Felid's face, Greed was momentarily stunned. He felt a familiar sensation from that eye, but the years had passed, and he couldn't recall it in an instant.
However, Felid cleverly seized Greed's negligence. With a turn, his body passed through the short spear that hadn't been pulled back yet, and the Western Sword in his hand quickly swept across Greed's body.
"Dark Scripture: Piercing!"
As Felid spoke, several huge black auras suddenly appeared on Greed's body, piercing through him and the cursed dragon beneath him.
The black auras seemed like giant needles, fixing Greed's body, making him hang in mid-air, completely immobilized.
Nevertheless, Greed continued to smile wickedly. "Naive, do you think my capabilities are limited to this?"
As he spoke, flames erupted from his body, destroying Felid's dark aura in the blink of an eye.
"You've eliminated the piercing, right? But it's useless; the damage won't disappear!" Felid thought to himself, but the next scene left him stunned.
"Dragon Knight of Soaring Heaven!"
In a flash, Greed's handsome figure shot out from the flames. Compared to before, the holes pierced through him had disappeared, and a faint yellow light emanated from his body. The most significant difference was his mount.
The color of the cursed dragon had changed from light green to a burning crimson, and numerous sharp protrusions appeared on its body, making its originally fierce appearance even more terrifying.
Of course, its strength surpassed anything before, and its name had changed to 'Inferno Cursed Dragon.'
Greed chuckled lightly, and with a slight squeeze of his feet, he immediately darted towards Felid. In Greed's view, while the three in front of him were challenging, Felid was undoubtedly the most challenging to deal with.
The Dragon Knight's speed had already been demonstrated earlier, and Felid didn't believe that 'Distortion,' such a small trick, could be used again. Hastily, he used his Western Sword to write characters.
"Dark Scripture: Phantom Rush!"
Instantly, Felid transformed into a warrior clad in pitch-black armor and a mask. His hands were wrapped in heavy iron, allowing him to grab the spearhead without hesitation.
At the same time, Bickslow and Evergreen weren't just spectating. Seeing their companion under attack, they each employed their own magic to aid Felid.
"Fairy Machine Gun: Maximum Frequency!" A plethora of magical explosive bullets shot out from Evergreen's hands, an unstoppable barrage like a torrential rain.
"Subparticle Formation!" Bickslow's dolls acted like an army, immediately forming a pentagram and firing a terrifying laser from its center, aimed directly at Greed.
With Felid under siege from three sides, it seemed that Greed had no choice but to evade backward.
However, Greed made no other moves; he held the short spear with unwavering momentum. In an instant, he thrust the spear.
Simultaneously, his mount, the Inferno Cursed Dragon, cooperatively spewed a flame, completely enveloping the short spear.
"Inferno Flame: Spiral Spear Kill!"
Similar to before, the eerie spiral force struck again, but this time, there was something else accompanying it.
The spiraling force dragged Felid's body, and at the same time, a scorching heat that seemed to burn body and soul engulfed him, causing him to scream in pain.
Not only that, the other attacks launched at Greed were also displaced by the all-encompassing spiral force, preventing any magic from reaching Greed.
