Castle on the Olympus Mountain seemed to be calm and eerie as usual, but little did anyone know that inside, a fierce battle was unfolding.
Jellal, one of the main forces against the Seven Deadly Sins, had separated from the others. Relying on the memories from his previous infiltration, he swiftly flew towards his target.
Jellal's celestial magic, particularly the "Meteor," was a technique that could be called divine by even someone like Calvin. He resembled a shooting star crossing the sky, standing out in the dark castle.
Swiftly making another turn at high speed, he reached the end of the corridor. There, a door adorned with three large swords came into view, matching his remembered target.
Jellal stopped in front of the door and gently pushed it open.
Instead of attacks or mocking laughter, silence and darkness greeted him. Jellal concentrated, surveying the surroundings, wary of any potential threat.
He conjured golden flames in his hand, forming a ball and gently tossing it forward. The fire illuminated everything it touched, revealing the room's environment.
As expected, it was another spacious room, with weapons and armor lining the walls. In the forefront, a painting depicted a person in knightly attire. Beneath the painting hung a large chair, intricately decorated and exuding an air of nobility.
Jellal was surprised, not by the room's decor but by the figure sitting on the chair.
The person, with closed eyes, rested naturally with hands placed on the chair's armrests. Although motionless, they exuded an air of arrogance.
"The Seven Deadly Sins?" Jellal asked calmly, his eyes glinting.
The figure didn't respond immediately, appearing as if in a deep slumber. Jellal found it perplexing, and just as the golden flames exhausted their magical power and darkness enveloped the room again, the figure spoke.
"Darkness is a good thing. No matter how filthy your heart is, darkness can conceal it all."
"So, I like darkness because my heart is the filthiest and most shameless."
While the words sounded plain at first, anyone observant could detect the hidden fanaticism within the calm tone.
The cryptic words left Jellal puzzled, but he didn't underestimate his opponent. He instinctively radiated golden light, illuminating the entire room.
In the newfound light, the figure, adorned in exquisite armor combining gold and black, became visible.
Jellal didn't want to waste any more time. His gaze turned icy as he coldly declared, "Whether you acknowledge me or not doesn't matter. My only goal is to kill you!"
With those words, he transformed into a meteor once again, swiftly traversing space and appearing before the figure.
Simultaneously, the figure, whose eyes had been closed until now, opened them. Dark pupils emitted boundless killing intent as they locked onto Jellal.
A surge of sword energy burst forth, narrowly evaded by Jellal's sharp reflexes. As Jellal gazed at the figure again, they had risen from the chair, wielding a sword in the right hand and holding a shield in the left, looking down at Jellal from a higher vantage point.
"Well, I've been holding back, but since you're so eager to die, let me grant your wish," the figure mocked, exuding disdain and contempt.
"Quite arrogant for just a summoned beast. Moreover, I've never seen you before; you're probably just a negligible character in Calvin's cards," Jellal retorted, not backing down from the mockery.
Hearing Jellal's words, the figure's expression soured. In a harsh tone, they said, "Good, you've successfully angered me. Now let me show you the strength of the so-called negligible character!"
In Fairy Tail, two Dragon Slayers, Laxus and Gajeel, with extraordinary senses, moved through the castle. Avoiding detours, they advanced directly towards their chosen targets.
The quiet corridor echoed with crackling sounds of electricity, accompanied by dazzling lightning, unmistakably signaling Laxus's presence.
Regardless of whether it was Gajeel or Laxus, both possessed exceptional agility. Laxus, wrapped in lightning, moved swiftly, while Gajeel, aided by Pantherlily's help, also traversed the corridor at high speed.
In terms of speed, Laxus was undoubtedly faster. However, the first to reach their target was Gajeel, driven by his eagerness for battle.
Within the castle, each of the Seven Deadly Sins had their own rooms, harboring the altars for absorbing negative emotions. Gajeel arrived at the door of one such room.
"Is this the place?" Pantherlily asked after Gajeel put him down.
"No mistake. Although faint, the guy in the hall controlling the dragon has the scent of the people in here!" Gajeel confidently stated.
Without further ado, he kicked the door open, revealing an empty room with only a large bed. On the bed lay a figure with a purple-blue hue, lazily turning to face them.
Upon seeing the figure, Gajeel chuckled and said, "Got lucky this time. Encountering the Dragon Slayer known as the Dragon Slayer is quite a treat!"
Yes, the purple-blue figure on the bed was none other than the formidable Dragon Slayer who had gained great renown in Calvin's exploits, the current member of the Seven Deadly Sins, Sherlof.
Sherlof lazily sat up, stretched languidly, and then looked at Gajeel. In a voice that seemed blurry and indistinct, he said, "That guy is really unreliable. He let the enemies come so easily."
The phrase 'that guy' clearly referred to the Dragon Dominator who intercepted Fairy Tail earlier. Sherlof seemed dissatisfied, yet also indifferent.
"No need for small talk. Hurry up and let me beat you down!" Gajeel cracked his knuckles, emitting a sinister laugh.
Seeing this, Sherlof sighed helplessly and said in a weak tone, "Oh, how energetic. It feels like I've encountered a very enthusiastic fellow."
