The grayish-black clouds finally started to pour rain, the pitter-patter sound continuously echoing. The entire Tenrou Island was covered in heavy rainfall, with no sign of it letting up.
Alone, Ellesis ran with a calm expression but tinged with a hint of urgency. She was anxious to locate the enemy quickly. Time was short, and the island was vast; finding specific individuals, especially for someone like Ellesis, who wasn't skilled in tracking magic, was not an easy task.
Just a while ago, Ellesis had been battling one of the Seven Members of Purgatory. Despite the opponent being a child, their astonishing magical power was overwhelming. Even with both Ellesis and Jubian working together, they couldn't swiftly defeat the opponent.
To some extent, it was because the opponent was still a child, and Ellesis subconsciously held back.
However, when Jubian got injured by a girl named Meldy, Ellesis was prepared to go all out. But perhaps due to Meldy's youth and ignorance, she uttered some extraordinary words.
These words referred to Meldy's intended sequence to kill the members of Fairy Tail. Ellesis was surprisingly placed fifth in Meldy's list, with Calvin, Gildarts, Makarov, and Gray ahead of her.
Ellesis didn't know the reason behind Meldy's intense hatred for Gray. Still, upon hearing this seemingly arbitrary order, Jubian exploded with magical power, and the sky immediately poured heavy rain.
It was well-known that Jubian was a pure water-type mage, and rain provided her with an immense advantage. Jubian proposed to fight alone, urging Ellesis to leave.
Another well-known fact was Jubian's feelings for Gray, which she displayed openly and passionately. Within the guild, there wasn't a single person unaware of this.
Although Ellesis didn't understand why Meldy harbored such hatred for Gray, for Jubian, Gray was her enemy. In the face of an enemy, there was only one thing to do: confront them head-on.
On the other side, after defeating Hwajin, Cana and Lucy, Pasalilei and Sherell left once again to search for Ellesis.
From the cats, they learned that many guild members had already gathered at a temporary camp. Cana and Lucy nodded at each other, deciding to return to the camp to discuss with everyone.
Pasalilei and Sherell intended to escort the two women, but knowing the cats had their tasks, the girls declined and decided to return on their own.
The heavy rain fell through the gaps in the treetops, soaking Cana and Lucy. Their clothes clung to their skin, outlining beautiful figures.
"Ugh, why did it have to start raining?" Lucy impatiently sighed as they walked.
Completely drenched, the sticky sensation was unpleasant, and Lucy, mentally strained, found it unbearable.
Glancing up at the sky filled with thick, unending dark clouds over Tenrou Island, Cana replied loudly, "Stop complaining. Once we get back to the camp, you can dry off."
Lucy looked around, sighed again, and muttered softly, "I wonder what's happening with Natsu and the others. Have they defeated the opponents?"
Catching Lucy's murmurs, Cana gave her a mischievous smile, encircling her from behind.
"Oh, Lucy, you're still worried about Natsu! Could it be... how far have you two gone?" Cana's tone carried a teasing curiosity, her eyes slyly narrowed, her hands mischievously groping Lucy's ample chest.
"Stop it! Weren't you just saying we should hurry back to the camp?" Lucy was exasperated, her face full of helplessness.
Cana giggled, increasing the pressure of her movements, causing Lucy to squirm involuntarily.
"There must be a lot of stinky guys at the camp, right? Some things can only be said between us girls. Didn't I already tell you about my crush?"
After a brief struggle, Lucy finally escaped from Cana's grip. She covered her chest, blushing furiously, and scolded coyly, "This is too much! What if someone sees us?"
"Who'd have thought you were such an innocent girl, Lucy. But rest assured, it's not so easy to encounter someone here." Cana said nonchalantly, but as she spoke, her eyes lit up again, as if she wanted to tease Lucy once more.
Lucy, with a mournful expression, watched Cana slowly approaching her. Suddenly, her expression turned serious.
Seeing Lucy's reaction, Cana immediately stopped her playful demeanor and turned her head to look ahead.
In the distance, an area where rain fell particularly heavily approached them with a continuous splashing sound. Within the rain, a figure was faintly visible. As the figure neared, a terrifying and immense magical power enveloped the area.
Both Cana and Lucy's faces turned extremely pale; merely the touch of that magical power on their skin created immense pressure.
"Are you kidding? Isn't this guy several times more powerful than that fatso?" Cana couldn't believe it. Under that enormous magical power, even her fighting spirit couldn't arise.
Even Cana, who was more adept at combat, appeared this way. Lucy, whose combat abilities weren't impressive, looked even more terrified, her teeth chattering.
As the person approached, Cana and Lucy finally saw his appearance.
He was a peculiar-looking fellow, with a high nose bridge, deeply set eyes, and hair tied in a long braid behind. At first glance, he seemed somewhat like a monkey, but with his cold and cruel demeanor, he appeared more like the embodiment of a demon.
Draped in a coat, upon seeing Cana and Lucy, he merely raised his hand slightly and pressed it down casually.
The next moment, an immense pressure descended, immediately pinning both women to the ground.
The incredible weight made it impossible for them to stand, and not only that, the ground around them collapsed under the pressure, creating a huge pit. Cana and Lucy lay there in agony, almost unable to move.
Amidst the heavy rain, Calvin gasped, barely dodging an attack. He directed three summoned creatures to continue attacking, facing countless demons that had surrounded him.
"Creating demons from stones?! This guy's way too dangerous. Is he really a human?" Calvin looked at Hades with an extremely wary expression. Since Hades removed his eye patch, it seemed like a whole different person, completely overpowering Calvin.
"Darn it, if this keeps up, I might actually die."
