Chapter 152 - The Hobbit's Ambition

"After Gray and Cana split up and roamed around, he actually discovered two figures.

A beautiful woman was carrying a man and slowly walking in a certain direction. Gray could tell at a glance that these two were definitely not members of Fairy Tail, but instead, connected to the Heart of the Demons.

Half of Gray's guess was correct; the woman was indeed Ultear, the leader of the Seven Kin of Purgatory. As for the man, it was needless to say, naturally the Dark Wizard Jellal.

However, it was strange. Jellal had just been severely injured by Ultear moments ago, but now, not much time had passed, and most of his wounds had already disappeared. Before long, he might be back to normal.

Yet Ultear hadn't noticed this; she was still immersed in the joy of having Jellal.

She whispered softly, 'Soon, you'll be able to return to being the true Dark Wizard.'

This sentence hit Gray like a thunderbolt.

During his brief confrontation with Caprico earlier, he had learned that the enemy's goal was to awaken Jellal.

Though he didn't know what had happened between these two, Gray had indeed heard the woman addressing the man as Jellal.

Didn't that mean the enemies were close to achieving their objective? Moreover, regardless of whether Jellal was truly asleep, trying to awaken someone like him couldn't possibly lead to anything good.

In fact, it could be the most dreadful plan, causing immense pain to the world at any moment.

Jellal's infamy had been notorious 400 years ago, not to mention the book he created, transforming countless demons into evildoers, of which Gray himself was a victim.

The colossal figure named Deliora was probably forever etched in Gray's mind as an unforgettable fear.

At that moment, Gray became serious and observed the two carefully.

His observation startled Gray once again.

If Deliora was the fear Gray couldn't forget, there was another woman who represented brightness in his heart—his master, Ur, described by Jellal as 'if still alive, she would definitely be one of the Ten Saints and a member of Fairy Tail.'

Gray's surprise stemmed from the fact that Ultear, carrying Jellal, bore a striking resemblance to Ur in appearance.

This made Gray suspicious. Coupled with the fact that Ultear had already captured Jellal, there was no way he could simply let these two go.

Therefore, Gray stealthily followed them, refraining from impulsively attacking and opting to gather more information.

As long as he wasn't with Natsu, Gray was usually very calm and cautious.

In the burnt forest, a blue-colored small cat stood up unsteadily.

After Happy's headbutt, it took a while for the headache to subside and the spirals in his eyes to disappear, regaining consciousness.

Upon waking up, Happy found that Natsu had defeated Zancrow, but he himself had also collapsed.

Happy immediately thought of flying back to where Gajeel was, but just thinking about the old man he fought with made him feel a chill down his spine.

"Forget it, I better not go and drag everyone down." Speaking to himself in a rather unnatural tone, Happy decided against it.

After a moment of contemplation, Happy picked up Natsu and flew out of the forest, heading towards the temporary camp they had set up earlier.

He believed that other guild members should be there; it was better to gather first.

He remembered the location of the camp very clearly. Flying like a gust of wind, he swiftly arrived at the camp.

There were quite a few people in the camp, many of whom were injured. Especially, Makarov was unconscious with bandages tied around him. Seeing this situation, Happy felt incredulous.

Looking at who was lying down, it included Gajeel Redfox, who was almost as strong as Natsu, Makarov, the one of the Ten Saints and the Guild Master of Fairy Tail, along with Erza Scarlet, Elfman, and Levy, all in a miserable state. Even the three teams participating in the exam had lost their fighting capabilities.

Happy was extremely anxious, but the others weren't faring much better.

Since Natsu and Gajeel defeated Laxus, they had already shown close to the strength of the number one below S-Class. Even Natsu had fallen; did they really have to rely on a few S-Class mages?

Everyone started thinking this way, and the atmosphere instantly turned gloomy.

Fortunately, several S-Class mages seemed unharmed.

"Wendy, check on Natsu's injuries first."

Lisaana, concerned about Natsu's condition, spoke softly.

Lisaana had anticipated that Natsu would get hurt. With Natsu's personality, he would surely rush into battle first, but the severity of his injuries surprised Lisaana.

It wasn't about the seriousness of the injury, but the wounds.

Wendy just glanced at it and immediately had a drastic change in her expression, saying, "It's a burn, and it's severe."

After saying that, Wendy was about to use healing magic.

This statement shocked everyone present. Natsu getting burned was something they had never imagined.

"Happy! What happened?" Lisaana asked.

"Natsu's enemy calls himself the Flame God Slayer, completely overpowering Natsu with flames. But don't worry, with my help, Natsu has successfully defeated the enemy." Happy boasted proudly but looked around and felt a bit low when he didn't see that pure white figure.

Everyone was incredulous upon hearing about the Flame God Slayer, finding it hard to believe. If the Dragon Slayer was already so powerful, it was difficult to imagine how astonishing the God Slayer could be.

However, upon hearing that Natsu defeated the enemy, everyone felt relieved. Then Lisaana, seeing Happy's expression, couldn't help but smile teasingly."

"Don't bother looking; Xia Lulu isn't here."

This made Happy feel a bit embarrassed, but he quickly turned around, looking worriedly at Natsu.

Wendy's treatment had been going on for a while, but Wendy's magic didn't seem very effective. Sweat was pouring down, showing she was giving it her all.

Mira had been watching with a serious expression. Suddenly, as if she had discovered something, she said to Wendy, "Wendy, there's an evil force on Natsu's scarf. Try to remove it."

Due to Mira's unique constitution and her ability to easily sense demonic magic, she immediately noticed something was amiss.

Wendy was taken aback but nodded quickly, following Mira's instructions.

At that moment, Mira turned to Happy and asked, "Happy, do you still have magic?"

"Yes! No problem! Mira, just tell me what to do!" Happy replied instantly, feeling a strong sense of responsibility.

"I need you to find Erza as soon as possible and take her to support Calvin. You're the only one who can accomplish this task right now; Xia Lulu and Pansarili have already gone out searching," Mira said very seriously.

Happy nodded solemnly in response. He had seen Calvin and Calvin's opponent, Hades, earlier. Even as weak as he was, he could sense the extraordinary nature of that old man.

With determination, Happy took a deep breath and said, "We're counting on everyone for Natsu. I'm off!"

With those words, Happy transformed into an arrow and shot into the sky, searching for Erza.

"If I can find Erza first and save Calvin in this crisis, Xia Lulu might see me in a new light! Calvin might even give me plenty of fish later! I can show off to Lucy too!"

Various thoughts raced through Happy's mind, driving him with excitement and determination.

"Erza!! Here I come!!"
