Calvin sneered and disdainfully replied, "You claim that magic should not exist? But you have been plotting to seize magic, even at the cost of our world's lives!"
"We do not deny that," Lucifer sighed and said with a heavy tone. "Since the appearance of magic, we have become accustomed to its use. Almost everyone can't imagine how the world would be without magic. That fear drives them to resort to any means to obtain it. But I, alone, cannot change their mindset." His eyes revealed a hint of regret.
Calvin skeptically looked at Lucifer for a while before continuing to ask, "But I have a question. If Edolas has been devoid of magic since ancient times, why did it suddenly appear four hundred years ago?"
"I have investigated this matter as well. If my speculation is correct, someone must have utilized the power of the Celestial Spirit to artificially manipulate time and allowed a significant influx of magic into Edolas. When you return to Earth Land, you can investigate and see if there are any records of the sudden depletion of magic four hundred years ago," Lucifer suggested, not entirely certain about his own theory.
"No need to go back. Indeed, such an event did occur four hundred years ago. During that era, due to the scarcity of magical energy, the once invincible race known as 'Dragons' disappeared!" Calvin confidently replied. Having studied numerous books, he had indeed come across accounts of such events in the literature.
"That's right! There is a rift between our two worlds, forming a separate realm. The inHappytants of that realm are called Celestial Spirits. Their magic has incredible temporal manipulation abilities. Surely, some bastard utilized the power of the Celestial Spirits to distort time!" Lucifer exclaimed in frustration, pounding the wall. At the same time, a name flashed through Calvin's mind—a notorious dark mage from four hundred years ago named Zeref.
"Now, you should tell me your intentions. I don't believe you sought me out just to discuss these matters," Calvin said calmly, his eyes flickering.
"Correct, I do indeed need your help. Help me save our world and save yours as well," Lucifer replied.
"Our world?" Calvin questioned.
"Do you really think Edolas's destruction will have no consequences for Earth Land?" Lucifer sneered.
Calvin was startled, recalling Lucifer's words in the diary, "The light extinguished, the shadow perished." Cold sweat dripped down his forehead, clearly realizing something dreadful. "It seems you've come to your senses. The two worlds are interconnected. If Edolas is destroyed, Earth Land will also collapse, and it will crumble without any warning. After all, the problem lies not with Earth Land but with our Edolas. Besides cooperating with me to save Edolas, you have no other choice," Lucifer said with a radiant smile, his smile shining brightly.
"You really have an infuriating attitude. Just tell me, what do you need me to do?" Calvin tugged at the corner of his mouth, raised an eyebrow, suppressed his anger, and asked as calmly as possible.
"Hehe, that's the spirit! You should know that unity is strength. With the two of us working together, there's nothing we can't solve!"
In the world of Edolas, there was a floating kingdom in the sky called Extalia, inHappyted by the noblest race of Edolas, the Carla.
Meanwhile, Happy and Carla were desperately running away in this kingdom. Initially, when they were brought here, they were treated as heroes, but they later learned that they had been sent to Natsu and Wendy to assassinate the Dragon Slayes. The two cats were devastated, and they resisted the orders of the Queen of Extalia, determined to return to their dearest companions, back to Fairy Tail.
On their journey, they saw their comrades turned into huge magic crystals and encountered a couple who kindly helped them. The lady was very kind and gentle, although her husband spoke rudely, it was evident that he had a cold exterior but a warm heart. Both Happy and Carla found him quite adorable.
Finally, with the couple's reassurance, Happy and Carla overcame their inner unease and confusion after arriving in this world. The two cats dashed to the edge of Extalia and leaped into the air, spreading their wings and flying forward, unfurling the wings they had been unable to use since arriving in Edolas!
"Let's go! Let's rescue everyone, Happy!"
"Aye!"
Happy and Carla soared through the clouds, heading straight for the castle of the kingdom. They didn't bother hiding and casually hovered in mid-air, knowing they would be noticed.
The first person to notice them was Erza. Her face didn't look good, and her mood seemed quite terrible. She looked at Happy and Carla without saying a word, lost in her thoughts.
"Exceed... May I help you with something?" Erza asked hesitantly.
"Where are those Dragon Slayer?" Carla inquired.
"They... they're in the western tower..." Erza hesitated in her response.
"Human, bring the Dragon Slayer, immediately!" Carla said from her commanding position, her eyes cold and indifferent, treating Erza before her as nothing more than an ant.
"I don't have the authority to release them," Erza's gaze flickered, and finally, she knelt down, showing respect.
"Stop wasting time! Go and do it now!" Carla's face turned cold, her voice full of power, leaving Erza frowning.
"Do you know who I am? I am Princess Carla, daughter of Queen Shagotte, the Princess of Extalia. My words carry the weight of the queen's command. No authority? I can grant it to you!" Carla's words made Erza break out in a cold sweat, but the Dragon Slayer magic was essential for the kingdom. How could they let the Exceed take them away? However, regardless of being an Exceed or Princess Carla, their positions were not something she could disregard.
Just as she was feeling a little lost, a man slowly approached Erza, a smirk on his face. "Erza, that expression doesn't suit you."
The person was dressed in a dazzling outfit, none other than Calvin Lucifer, who had an affection for Erza.
"It's Calvin from Edolas. What should we do?" Happy whispered to Carla by her ear upon seeing him.
"It's okay. Regardless of who it is, they're humans in front of a princess," Carla replied calmly, unaffected.
"Are you done with your conversation? What about the other Calvin?" Erza turned her head slightly and asked Calvin.
"Hehe, that guy is a Fairy Tail Mage from Earth Land. You've all been deceived by him, but don't worry, I just took care of him. He's currently locked up in the dungeon!" Calvin's words shocked both Happy and Carla. Could it be that their most powerful trump card in this world had already been defeated?
"He's a member of Fairy Tail?" Erza furrowed her brows deeply and questioned doubtfully.
"Hehe, of course..." Just as Calvin spoke in an extremely mocking tone, Carla interrupted him.
"Human, I'm not interested in your petty affairs. I'll say it again, bring the Dragon Slayer to us right away!"
