Chapter 103 - Arrested

After realizing that Lucy was not the Lucy he knew, Calvin couldn't help but stare at her and the Fairy Tail emblem on her hand with a peculiar expression. Suddenly, he seemed to be struck by something, and his face turned shy, with a hint of redness appearing on his cheeks. This change in his demeanor made Lucy feel a bit uneasy.

"Yes, it seems that both of us mistook each other for someone else. Well then, goodbye!" Although Lucy was still a bit confused, she had a vague sense of what was going on. The person in front of her, this "Calvin," was someone unpleasant, making her instinctively want to escape from him, to get away from this "Calvin."

"Miss Lucy, I'm heading to Fairy Tail now. Would you like to come along?" Suddenly, Calvin said, his gaze returning to the gentle look from before. However, there was a faint sense of hidden motives and schemes lurking within his depths.

"Fairy Tail?! Does this world also have Fairy Tail?" Lucy was shocked and quickly asked.

"Well, how should I put it? This place is called Edolas, and it's completely different from the world you're in, Earth Land. However, there are many similarities between the two. Just like how Earth Land has a Calvin and Lucy, here we also have a Calvin and Lucy. And, of course, there's another Fairy Tail here. Are you familiar with names like Cana, Mira, Natsu, and Gray?" Calvin asked with a soft laugh.

"I know them, I know them!" As soon as Lucy heard those familiar names, she instinctively assumed that this world's Calvin was also her companion. Although his personality had some issues, she didn't mind having troublesome teammates. After all, her current team consisted of a violent idiot, a clothes-stripping maniac, and an occasionally eccentric and fierce queen. Compared to them, Calvin's quirks were just child's play to her.

"Okay, then I'll take you there." Calvin happily hugged Lucy in the way of a princess, the boots on his feet suddenly shone, and then he moved forward like the wind.

"One Lucy, two Lucys, it seems I am truly blessed by the gods!" Despite his outward appearance, deep inside, Calvin's hidden demon was on the verge of revealing itself.

"Well, do you have to hold me like this?" Lucy asked, feeling uncomfortable with the wind blowing against her. She had a vague sense that Calvin's hands were becoming a little too restless.

"Huh? What did you say?" The wind was too loud, and Calvin could not hear it. She could not help but ask.

"I'm talking about your hands! What the hell are you touching?!! Let me go right now!" Lucy suddenly struggled and yelled out. If the previous Calvin was just a little restless, now he was openly groping her chest. Such humiliation was unbearable for Lucy.

"Ah~ Don't mind such trivial matters. Look, we've already arrived!" Calvin said nonchalantly, his hands becoming even more audacious. But before Lucy reached her breaking point, he suddenly let go of her and smiled mischievously at her.

"Don't be angry, don't be angry. Look, Fairy Tail is already here."

As Calvin continued to search for clues, there was a knock on the door. Calvin felt a chill in his heart. He immediately pretended to be normal and quickly opened the door.

The person outside the door was Erza, who had slapped him.

"Uh...what's the matter?" Calvin still felt a little dizzy when he saw the person coming. It was obvious that something had happened between the other him and Erza in front of him, but he didn't understand it. It would be very difficult for him to continue pretending.

"Calvin, do you have anything to say to me?" Erza's eyes were very sharp, making Calvin break out in cold sweat.

"Uh... yes, do you want to come in?" Calvin thought for a moment and quickly decided to invite Erza in.

Erza, clearly familiar with the place, walked over to a comfortable chair without hesitation, propping up her feet and looking up at Calvin with a meaningful gaze. Without saying a word, her eyes spoke volumes about her intentions.

"First of all, I have something to say,"

"I think you might, probably, have mistaken me for the wrong person. I am Calvin, but I am not the Calvin you speak of!" Calvin said softly, but the content of his words made Erza's face change dramatically and suddenly become terrible.

Erza subconsciously wanted to pick up something but found that she did not bring a weapon in. However, she did not hesitate. She propped up her body with her hand and kicked Calvin.

Calvin had sharp eyesight and quick hands, and he stretched out his hand to stop Erza's flying kick. However, he really underestimated Erza's strength. Even if he blocked it, he was still kicked away.

"Slow down, slow down! Let me finish speaking first! I don't have any hostile intentions!" As Erza wanted to pursue her advantage, she suddenly heard Calvin shouting. However, she didn't stop her hand and instead punched even more forcefully towards Calvin.

When her fist was about to make contact with Calvin's face, a rune suddenly wrapped around her body, completely immobilizing her. Erza was greatly astonished as she looked at Calvin, who simply smiled gently and said, "Could you please calm down and listen to me? I already said I don't have any hostile intentions."

"It was you who assumed without any justification that I was the person you knew and brought me here without any explanation. You can't deny that fact," Calvin said nonchalantly as he released the magic binding Erza, paying no attention to it.

"But you didn't deny it at that time."

"I encountered you shortly after arriving in this world, so naturally, I followed you to learn more. Not long ago, I passed by a town when suddenly a massive hole appeared in the sky, sucking the entire city inside. If it weren't for the special magic that can protect me, I probably wouldn't be standing here talking to you right now! When I came to my senses, I was already in this world. Miss Eliza, can you tell me where we are? And what's the deal with that enormous hole? Is it some mischief caused by your kingdom?" Calvin fired a series of questions rapidly, but Eliza grew increasingly calm as she listened.

"It seems you were an unrelated party who got involved..." Erza pondered for a moment, then proceeded to provide Calvin with detailed information about her world. She carefully observed his facial expressions throughout and, finally, explained to him that the enormous hole was the result of the kingdom unleashing super magic in their quest to seize magical power.

As Erza observed Calvin's increasingly engrossed expression, despite her lingering doubts, she became less vigilant and her body gradually relaxed.

"What you're saying is a bit too much. Give me some time to process it!" Calvin covered his head as if he had heard something difficult to accept, interrupting Erza's next topic. It took him a while to regain his composure, and his expression turned calm.

"By the way, is it okay for you to tell me all this so easily? You haven't determined yet whether I'm your enemy or friend," the now calm Calvin expressed skepticism about Erza's openness.

"True, I am still skeptical of you. Sharing that information earlier was merely a delay tactic," Erza suddenly smirked, stood up abruptly, and looked down at Calvin from a higher position. "The entire house is now surrounded by the military of our kingdom, Calvin from another world. Don't resist! We can't guarantee your safety otherwise."

As people entered from concealed entrances around them, Calvin couldn't help but force a bitter smile. "Are you serious? Are the defenses here really that weak?"

"Unfortunately, this house is a highly intelligent structure, and I am one of the administrators with the authority to manipulate it," Erza chuckled again, waving her hand, and immediately someone approached with handcuffs.

"Alright, I surrender. But I still hope you can talk to me. I really don't want to be your enemy," Calvin raised his hands in a defeated manner, wearing a pained smile, showing no intention to resist.

"Your attitude seems sincere enough. I will personally interrogate you!" Erza stared coldly, leading the army with great composure as they arrested Calvin. Calvin, on the other hand, wore a mournful expression and followed them toward the prison, seemingly resigned to his fate.
