Chapter 195 - Demonstrate for Wang Yan

Although Galactus's arrival did not cause widespread changes, and Wang Yan utilized powerful magic, the Mirror Dimension, to contain the immense power and prevent its spread to Earth, the event still triggered significant disturbances.

The Earth experienced intense tremors, and the appearance of an eternal light shocked countless high-ranking officials. People on Earth were in a state of panic, unaware of what was truly happening, their fears only somewhat alleviated by news reports claiming it to be a natural event.

National leaders, however, were fully aware of the incident's gravity. Once they knew the terrifying entity had left, they sighed in relief, feeling like they had narrowly escaped a catastrophe.

Their advanced detection equipment had shown them the threat's true scale, a terror ordinary civilians could not comprehend. However, the reasons behind Galactus's departure remained unclear, even to Nick Fury, stationed at the space base.

They only knew that the monster had left and Earth was no longer under attack. They hoped for an explanation and any recordings. Still, Fury stated that the base had expended all its resources and weapons, suffering heavy losses, leaving no room to document the event.

This statement highlighted S.W.O.R.D.'s sacrifices and their crucial role in Earth's defense. Though Fury did not claim that S.W.O.R.D. had driven away the monster, given their sole presence in space, the assumption naturally fell to them.

As a result, nations felt a renewed faith in S.W.O.R.D. and the importance of its development. Fury, skilled in negotiation, implied S.W.O.R.D.'s necessity without explicitly stating it, garnering more support and funding for future operations.

"Commander, we've received more support and equipment sent via rockets. This will help us better protect Earth!" an excited S.W.O.R.D. agent reported, and others shared his enthusiasm, relieved that S.W.O.R.D.'s efforts had not been in vain.

Fury nodded approvingly, "Good. Let's repair the base, build defense fortifications, and install attack turrets."

As the agents worked with renewed vigor, a Skrull approached Fury, requesting a private conversation. This was unusual, so Fury expected it to be important.

"What is it?" Fury asked, intrigued by the Skrull's secrecy.

"Commander, we Skrulls have been sensing a summoning force," the Skrull explained, "It seems to be emanating from our Supreme God."

Fury raised an eyebrow, "Does Talos know about this?"

"He does. He fears the Supreme God might take an interest in Earth and wanted you to be aware."

Fury reassured the Skrull, "Keep an eye out for any Skrulls arriving on Earth, but don't worry too much. There are countless planets out there; your Supreme God might not come here."

The Skrull seemed hesitant to say more but eventually nodded and left.

Fury dismissed the matter, focusing on rebuilding S.W.O.R.D., confident that a stronger organization could handle future extraterrestrial threats.

Meanwhile, Earth's superheroes had resumed their lives. Tony Stark married Pepper Potts, Vision, and Wanda were together, Hawkeye retired, and Black Widow continued her work as an agent. Captain America still fought alongside Falcon and Bucky.

At Kamar-Taj, life remained calm. Regardless of external changes, Kamar-Taj's tranquility was undisturbed. Wang Yan continued his magical studies, alternating between the Book of Vishanti and the Infinity Stones.

One day, while Wang Yan was engrossed in his research, Mordo approached him.

"Wang Yan, I've finally found you!" Mordo exclaimed.

"What's happened, Mordo? Another crisis?" Wang Yan asked, tensing up at the memory of past battles, fearing another imminent threat.

"Nothing as dire as an alien invasion. The Sorcerer Supreme seems unwell," Mordo explained with a wry smile. After Wang Yan and the Sorcerer Supreme returned from their last encounter, they had learned about Galactus's arrival. Despite the Sorcerer Supreme's disheveled state, she had refused to explain, leaving Mordo in the dark. Asking Wang Yan also felt futile, as his growing power intimidated Mordo.

"The Sorcerer Supreme is unwell?" Wang Yan was surprised. Although weary after their last battle, she had not seemed seriously injured. Could something have happened in the dimensional realms?

"No, she has remained in her chambers since returning. We only noticed the issue recently," Mordo clarified, dispelling Wang Yan's initial thoughts.

"So, why did you come to me?" Wang Yan wondered, knowing he lacked healing skills. Normally, the injured would be taken to a hospital, but Kamar-Taj had its healers.

"We need your help," Mordo admitted. "Our healers have tried, but she rejects their magic."

Concerned, Mordo had turned to Wang Yan, hoping his unmatched magical prowess could make a difference.

"I don't know healing magic," Wang Yan confessed, having focused on offensive spells.

"Learning magic isn't hard for you," Mordo countered, acknowledging Wang Yan's unparalleled talent, mastering spells on the first day of learning them.

"Alright, let's see what's wrong with the Sorcerer Supreme," Wang Yan agreed, following Mordo to the tea room where the Sorcerer Supreme resided.

Despite her condition, she continued her usual routines. Upon seeing her, Wang Yan noticed she looked much older, frail, and on the brink of death. Her life force seemed greatly diminished.

"Supreme Sorcerer, you look extremely weak," Wang Yan observed, realizing the severity of her condition.

"Her life force is as low as a senior sorcerer's," he added, though Mordo's expression soured at the comparison. The implication that senior sorcerers had weak life forces stung despite the truth.

Suppressing his mixed feelings, Mordo called for the healer, "Beleya, demonstrate for Wang Yan."

Wang Yan turned to watch as Beleya approached...
