Chapter 260 - Is That a Power Comparable to a God?

This alteration in the cosmic timeline may not have affected the memories of ordinary people or those who have died. Still, powerful beings and strong individuals noticed the change in the universe. Apart from Thor, who was aware of the situation, Captain Marvel, also in the universe, sensed the disturbance.

She had witnessed countless beings being killed and wanted to stop it but couldn't. Fortunately, she contacted Nick Fury and confirmed that Earth was safe, a relief amid the chaos. Seeing that the survivors had stopped fighting each other, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Initially, she intended to help the planet's inhabitants recover. However, everything around her started to reverse; the dead were coming back to life. Everything intertwined and merged, yet the people around her seemed oblivious, making her feel out of place.

Deciding to return to Earth, she felt a foreboding sense of doom. Despite having countless memories from across the universe, she couldn't let go of Earth, her home planet. Although she spent most of her time in space upholding justice for various civilizations, the drastic changes in the universe worried her about Earth.

She instantly transformed into a golden light shooting into the distance. She resembled a golden comet heading toward Earth in the dark expanse of space, bringing enchanting color to the cosmos.

Traveling faster than most spaceships, Captain Marvel reached the solar system's vicinity after several spatial jumps. She intended to rush directly into the solar system but quickly realized she had hit something akin to an impenetrable wall, which she couldn't even breach.

Her glow faded, revealing Captain Marvel's appearance. Despite seeing nothing in front of her, she was stopped. Curious, she reached out and felt a soft membrane-like barrier. It wasn't solid, but it was invisible to her.

"What is this? Why is there something like this in the solar system? Only magic could be this powerful. But who could wield such strength?" she pondered. Although within the solar system, she was still far from Earth and had used wormhole-like traversal to travel quickly through space. This barrier was newly created, but who could have formed such a powerful magic that enveloped the entire solar system?

The realization was daunting. She was shocked but quickly composed herself. Discovering this energy encasing the solar system, she grew more concerned about Earth's safety. She decided to find a way through the barrier, which felt like an ant compared to this vast membrane.

After an hour of effort, Captain Marvel finally penetrated the barrier, discovering the entire solar system bathed in this energy. Focusing on Earth, she gathered her strength to transform into a beam of light heading toward her home planet.

Suddenly, a powerful force from the solar system's center erupted, accompanied by a blinding flash that spread rapidly, encompassing the solar system and beyond. The speed at which it spread defied the usual limitations of light. Along with the light, a powerful shockwave hit Captain Marvel, sending her crashing into the spatial barrier.

The force was immense, pinning her against the barrier like a sandwich between two pieces of bread. She had to use her internal energy to withstand the pressure, and the Infinity Stone's power modified her body, making her resilient. However, the power wasn't enough to kill her, and she worried about Earth's safety.

Such immense power could only belong to a god. She couldn't imagine how Earth would withstand it. Her homeland, full of memories and friends, was in danger, and she couldn't help but be anxious.

Determined, her body glowed brightly, gathering energy to resist the force and reach Earth. Despite being a formidable presence in the universe, Captain Marvel felt like a small boat in a storm against this force, unable to resist effectively.

Pinned against the barrier, her usually commanding power rendered useless; she felt a profound sense of helplessness. "How can Earth withstand such power? Could it be in crisis too?" she wondered, biting her lip in frustration.

Then, the overwhelming force suddenly dissipated, and Captain Marvel, not yet relieved, turned into a beam of light rushing toward Earth. However, she soon stopped, noticing a colossal figure in the solar system's center.

"What is that?" she exclaimed. Though she had heard of gods, she had never seen one until now. Shocked to see such a terrifying enemy, she wondered how to deal with it. But as she approached Earth, she felt a familiar magical presence, realizing it was Wang Yang's.

"That's Wang Yang's magic!" she thought, both surprised and relieved. Could it be that Wang Yang was the reason this god was shrinking? Is a sorcerer managing to shrink a god?

Stunned, Captain Marvel recognized the power of Wang Yang's magic, realizing it could subdue even a god. She thought of the immense force she had just felt, knowing that she wouldn't have survived without her body being modified by the Infinity Stone.
