Chapter 33 - UNDERCOVER, SECRET ACCOUNTS 33

As I prepared to head back to Frontier City, my mind still buzzing with the excitement of the Dungeon Arena victory, I was approached by an adventurer I had never met before. He introduced himself as Alex, and he informed me that he was sent by the Guildmaster himself.

"Hey, you're Deth Jones, right??" Alex said, a hint of awe in his voice.

"That's right," I replied, curious about why the Guildmaster would send someone to find me.

"I've been asked to bring you this," Alex said, handing me a small device. "It's a secure video chat line on your MagiCrystal smartphone. The Guildmaster wants to talk to you."

With a nod of thanks, I activated the video chat and was greeted by the familiar faces of Galvanizer Thomas and Ms. Secra Tally. They appeared on the screen, standing side by side.

"Deth Jones, we have a special assignment for you," Galvanizer Thomas began. "There's a man named Elden Brauch, and he's become a thorn in our side. He's a notorious smuggler, dealing in illegal magic-related items - weapons, armors, herbs, potions, you name it. We want you to tail him, locate the meet, and find the stash. Then, you'll contact us, and we'll send in specialized troops for the arrest."

I listened attentively, the mission piquing my interest. Taking down a smuggler sounded like a challenge, and I was always up for a challenge.

Ms. Secra Tally chimed in, "Elden Brauch operates in the shadows, and he's managed to evade us so far. We believe he's planning a big deal, and we need to stop him before it happens."

"So, you want me to be a shadow in the shadows," I said, understanding the significance of the mission.

"Precisely," Galvanizer Thomas confirmed. "We trust your abilities, Deth. You're discreet and skilled, and we believe you're the right person for this job."

I felt a surge of pride hearing those words from the Guildmaster. It was an honor to be trusted with such an important task.

"I accept the mission," I declared, determination filling my voice. "I'll do everything in my power to stop Elden Brauch and put an end to his illegal activities."

"Good," Ms. Secra Tally said, giving me a nod of approval. "Keep us updated on your progress, and don't hesitate to call for backup if needed."

With that, the video chat ended, and I set off on my new assignment. I knew that this wouldn't be an easy task, but I was ready for the challenge.

For the next few days, I shadowed Elden Brauch, careful to remain unnoticed and unseen. I observed his movements, tracking him through various shady locations in the city. It was a game of cat and mouse, and I was determined to stay one step ahead of him.

"So he likes to do things with a cucumber...."

As the days passed, I gathered valuable information about his operations. I learned about the meeting place and the stash he kept hidden. It was time to put my plan into action.

Under the cover of darkness, I made my move. I followed Elden Brauch to a deserted warehouse on the outskirts of the city. I watched from the shadows as he conducted his illicit dealings with a group of dangerous-looking individuals.

I knew that I "couldn't take them all on alone"---let's be real I CAN take them all alone but the Guildmaster and Ms. Secra Tally will be right up on my ass, so I instead activated a communication device hidden in my ear and called for backup. The Guild's specialized troops would arrive soon, but I needed to ensure that Elden Brauch didn't escape before they got there.

"Just a little bit....just a little bit...."

I waited for the perfect moment, then I sprung into action. Using my aura to enhance my speed and agility, I moved like a shadow, swiftly incapacitating the guards one by one. They were taken by surprise, unable to comprehend the speed and precision of my attacks.

In no time, I stood before Elden Brauch, a stern expression on my face. "Your illegal activities end here," I said, my voice steady and commanding.

Elden Brauch looked shocked and bewildered, clearly not expecting anyone to disrupt his operation. He reached for a hidden weapon, but before he could react, I disarmed him with a swift strike of my aura-infused hand.

"I know about the stash," I continued, my eyes narrowing. "Hand it over."

He hesitated for a moment, then realized that he had no other choice. He reluctantly led me to a hidden compartment where he stored his illicit goods. I seized the contraband, securing it as evidence for the Guild.

Just as I was about to apprehend Elden Brauch, the Guild's specialized troops arrived on the scene, surrounding the warehouse. They had been quick to respond to my call for backup.

Elden Brauch was caught, his smuggling operation brought to a halt. The Guild's troops took him into custody, and I watched as they led him away.

"You've done well, Deth," Galvanizer Thomas said, approaching me. "We couldn't have done it without you."

"I was just doing my part," I replied humbly. "It was a team effort."

Ms. Secra Tally nodded in agreement. "Your skills and determination were crucial to the success of this mission," she said. "We're proud to have you as a member of the Guild."

As we returned to Frontier City, I felt a sense of accomplishment for doing my "good deed".

I had taken down a dangerous criminal, putting an end to his illegal activities. It was moments like these that reminded me why I became an adventurer in the first place - to protect the innocent and uphold justice AND kick criminals in the nuts, one thing I love is putting down rabid dogs.

The Guild gave me a couple of asterisks on my Adventurer Profile, the bounty and rewards and also a commendation for my efforts,. It felt good to be recognized for my hard work and dedication.

As a small celebration, after leaving the Adventurer Guild, I treated myself to large feast at a very, very expensive restaurant in Frontier City. I even dressed up to flaunt my success and ordered the most expensive dishes, drinks and dessert that the resto has to offer.

"Life is good....go-ood."

Weeks passed....

I sat in my comfortable hideout, lazily lounging on a plush sofa, my legs propped up on a coffee table. The soft glow of my Magicrystal smartphone illuminated the dim room as I scrolled through various accounts that housed billions of OC (Online Credits). These accounts were filled with the proceeds of my masterful creation, the Money Worm.

"Yeah infant! Oh misbehave, my little wormy!"

The Money Worm was my most audacious creation yet, a virus that wormed its way into the digital world, siphoning small, barely detectable percentage money cuts from known criminals, corrupt politicians, and criminal organizations. It was my online unlimited cash cow, an invisible hand that sought out illicit activities and took from those who exploited others for their gains.

"Online Credits, Online Credits, Online Credits, Online Credits, Online Credits....Online Creeeeeeeddiiitttssss!"

I smirked to myself, thinking of the havoc the Money Worm had wreaked on those who thought themselves untouchable. It was a form of justice that went beyond the confines of the law. The Money Worm was my way of bringing balance to a world filled with greed and corruption.

With my specialized burner MagiCrystal smartphone, I accessed my "Underground Money Worm Accounts." Each account was encrypted with a quantum algorithm strengthened by a program-based magic, making them virtually undetectable and untraceable. Even the most skilled hackers and investigators would find themselves baffled by the Money Worm's covert operations.

"Devious is my middle name."

I had always been a mastermind, cunning and resourceful. My past life had honed my skills, and now, as Deth Jones, I put those skills to use in ways the world could never imagine.

As I scanned through the accounts, my thoughts drifted to my recent adventures and victories in the Dungeon Arena and the Guild's missions. But now, in this moment of leisure, I allowed myself to indulge in my other passions - the art of hacking and creating ingenious magical applications.

"Grow my little pet! And give me all the money of these wretched people that only knows how to do...."evil".

The Money Worm had become a living entity in the digital world, growing and evolving with each day. Its code was a symphony of magic and technology, and I took pride in knowing that it was making a real impact in the fight against crime.

But, I also knew that I couldn't stay idle forever. There were still more mysteries to uncover and challenges to face. As much as I enjoyed lazing around, I couldn't deny the thrill of a new adventure.

*SIGH

"As I said, a knife will always turn dull when you don't use it....also I haven't seen blood in a while now....I need to kill something."

I decided it was time to venture out once again, to put my skills and abilities to the test. I stood up from the sofa and slipped my "secret" MagiCrystal smartphone into a hidden compartment of my cloak, lined with various booby....hehe "booby", booby traps from poisons, toxins and venom to curses and alarm system that alerts me.

"All equips....CHECK!"

As I left my hideout, I activated the security measures, ensuring that no one could trace my whereabouts. I took to the shadows, moving like a ghost through the city.

"I am that object that flutters in the dark...."

The thrill of the unknown filled me with excitement. I was a man of many faces - an adventurer, a hacker, a brutal anti-hero Adventurer - and I embraced each role with equal fervor.

The night was my canvas, and I painted it with my actions. I moved swiftly, taking down criminals and corrupt individuals with the precision of a master marksman.

"Sheesh, I was up for some semi-heroeing and all I found are snatchers and rapists....where are the robbers!? I could use some pocket money and shave some off top if you know what I mean *wink *wink *nudge *nudge...."

But as the hours passed, I found myself craving more. I yearned for new challenges, something that would push me beyond my limits.

"Lemme check the internet for something to do in the dead of the night...."

I remembered a rumor I had heard about a legendary artifact hidden deep within a treacherous dungeon. It was said to possess unimaginable power, and only the bravest and most skilled adventurers dared to seek it.

The thought of the artifact ignited a fire within me. It was time to set my sights on a new goal, to test the limits of my abilities once more.

"To the Modular Cycle!!!"

With determination in my heart, I set off towards the dungeon, leaving behind a trail of dark justice and Jupiter Chocolate Bar wrappers. The Money Worm would continue its work, silently serving as my eyes and ears in the digital world.

As I approached the entrance of the dungeon, a rush of adrenaline coursed through my veins. I knew that the challenges ahead would be tough, but I was ready to face them head-on.

*UNATTAINABLE OBJECTIVE THEME PLAYS

"Tenenen.....tenenen.....tenen...."

With each step, I felt the weightlessness of the world on my shoulders, but also the thrill of the unknown. As Deth Jones, I was a force to be reckoned with, a man of many skills and talents.

And so, my adventures continued, a never-ending journey of discovery and excitement. This world was vast, and there were still countless treasures waiting to be discovered, unearthed, traded or to be sold.

"Just how bloody long is this fucking corridor!?"

As I delved into the depths of the dungeon, I knew that no matter what awaited me, I would face it with the same determination and cunning that had brought me this far....that nothing cannot be found, if you have the right magic spell for it.

For I was Deth Jones, a mastermind of magic and technology, a sort of anti-hero, hacker and former 10 Circle Archmage that commanded a large freaking bloody corps, and with every step I took, I start to get nearer to my objective....my treasure....my reason for living....

"Come to Papi...."
