Chapter 16 - JOURNEYING FOR AN UPGRADE 16

One thing I like about GPS (global positioning system) is that maps became obsolete and locating your location became easy access via satellite. Just this MagiCrystal Smartphone, is able to do more than what PC (personal computer) was able to do during my time as a normal human.

Once I got a good nights "sleep", I began to search for traders or even online stores, about where to get some Mythrilium and Adamantilium, two more rare ingredients needed for my Mana Battery upgrade.

The upgrade is random, the range is between 5th Circle Mana Battery~8th Circle Mana Battery.

But Mythirlium and Adamantilium although Rare, is not as rare as people make it out to be.

You can get these ingredients for blacksmiths, by recycling old worn and used magic weapons and armors, unfortunately the percentage of intact ingredient by doing this, is quite low.

About how I know the recipe for the upgrade, is actually not from me but from the android brain as its the one that actually knows. Its hidden deep in its subsystems and was only able to be accessed when I internally searched for a way to strengthen the android body, using an internal search engine program.

*SIGH

Not only that I'm basically a three-pronged spear: Aura, Mana and Magic Soul Core, Magic Soul Core relies on accumulation of Soul Energy then form into Cores, Mana relies on how many one Circles' have, while Aura is stored in the converted appendix into an Aura Organ.

I need to upgrade the Aura Organ as well, hence I'm still stuck at Level One.

Its the same as the Magic Soul Core, at least the Magic Soul Core I have extensive knowledge and has done research, however Aura is related to Martial Mystic Arts, a thing that I couldn't touch even if I wanted to back before I became a 10 Circle Archmage and was still a fledgling Mage.

Unlike the Magic Soul Core and Mage Circles, Aura can be gathered by being in nature---meaning this is why you see martial artists in waterfalls, mountains and jungles. The Aura Power is gained from all forms of biological life, if it lives and move, it has an Aura.

The very pills they pop in their mouth, are various plant, animal or beasts life blood, flesh, bones and juices, contain the essence of life....like a vampire, only no fangs and biting.

They (martial artists) are always pissed off whenever I teased them and call them out as "aura sucking vampires", whenever they "meditate" or pop one of those "meditation pills" or "elixirs"....good times....very good times.

Anyway, it seems I found someone selling scraps of used magic weapons and armors, I can use my android eyes to check how much percentage of Mythrilium and Adamantilium I can get from the junk she's selling.

Hopefully its quite substantial.

"This here is all the "items" that you're looking for, they don't look pretty but you did say that "as long as Mythrilium and Adamantilium was used to make it", well these are all certifiable items that do contain them....however if your looking for a lot....I don't think you should get your hopes up."

"Its fine. Let me check it for myself?"

"You gonna used your own tech? Suit yourself. I won't budge from the price, I maybe wanting to get rid of them but a girl has to eat, and I've got kids to feed."

I began running "scans" using something that emits scanning light, but its actually just a thingamabob that I just DIY (do it yourself) on the fly, back at the hotel.

My android eyes are the real scanners and hopefully there is at least a few 2-5% quality inside these junks.

After a while, the total came in, all in all, these junks have at least 15% Mythrilium and 16% Adamantilium, it seems some parts on the weapons and armors, have been strengthened by these minerals to last it a long time, before it became junk.

"I'll take 'em all according to the price you posted, you accept OC (online credit) from phones right?"

"Let's get inside and let me verify your payment, Sir."

I then went and procure some provisions for at least 2 years worth of food, not those terrible rations that the army uses, to torture their soldiers on the battlefield, but real food from fast food or restaurants.

My Inventory Space can keep them fresh and hot, just the way they were made, I bought rations but the expensive kind----in case I meet someone or something comes up during the journey.

I was planning to upgrade my 5th Circle Mana Battery to the far east....the Cactus Jungles.

Cactus Jungles.

Home of Sand Creatures and the most delicious source of alcohol: Xero Vodka. Unlike traditional vodka, the mutated Cactus produces a sweet, almost minty taste. How or why it was able to produce such taste, baffles a lot of scientists and botanists.

I wouldn't mind taking some for myself, as I know how to process those things into that sweet, sweet alcohol. I researched the internet and all you need is time, I do have a special space where time can be accelerated, I used it in the past to make wine or alcohol and even....pickling.

"I want that and these and that....kindly process the prices please!"

"Aiyo!!!"

I paid the hotel advanced fees, so as not to give my room to anyone and to have something to comeback to. I think I should look for a house when I get back, I maybe rich but paying constantly and worrying makes me totally stressed out.

This is why I eat all the time.

I can't thank you enough for this wonderful, beautiful android body.

The desert is humid and arid and....its just fucking hot! And here I am riding on a motorcycle with sidecar, while casting a Harden Spell on the sand to turn it into a sand road, preventing me from sinking in the sand.

The blistering desert sun beat down on me as I traversed the arid landscape, my eyes fixed on the horizon. My journey led me to the Cactus Jungles, a place shrouded in mystery and teeming with untold treasures. But before I could reach my destination, I had to face the trials of the desert sands.

The shifting dunes stretched endlessly before me, a vast expanse that whispered tales of hidden dangers. I parked my motorcycle and sidecar, inside my Inventory Space and decided to go on foot.

As I pressed forward, my footsteps leaving imprints in the soft sand, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. This was my element—the thrill of the unknown, the clash of steel and magic, and the chance to test my skills against the formidable creatures that lurked in the desert.

*SIGH

I kinda don't want to but...I have to.

The things I do just to keep my Mage-style Blacksmithing....

It wasn't long before I encountered the first of these sand-dwelling beasts. A massive Sand Serpent rose from beneath the sands, its scales glinting with an otherworldly iridescence. I wasted no time in unleashing the power of my magic gun, my fingers gripping the enchanted grip with confidence. A volley of scorching blasts erupted from the weapon, tearing through the air and finding their mark on the serpent's scaled hide.

But the Sand Serpent was no ordinary adversary. It slithered through the shifting sands with uncanny speed, evading my attacks with agility that belied its massive size. As it lunged towards me, its jaws agape, I called upon my offensive mage spells. Arcane energies crackled around me as I channeled the elements. Lightning arced from my fingertips, striking the serpent with electrifying force. The creature writhed in agony, its body convulsing from the surge of power.

Emboldened by my triumph, I pressed forward, my senses alert for the next encounter. I knew that the desert held more challenges, more creatures yearning to test their strength against mine. And I was more than willing to oblige.

In the distance, a Sand Golem emerged, its towering form a testament to the ancient magic that animated it. It lumbered towards me, the grains of sand that composed its body shifting and shimmering with a life of their own. Without hesitation, I unleashed a torrent of scorching heat from my magic gun. The searing flames engulfed the Sand Golem, melting away its sandy exterior. But this was merely a distraction, for the true danger lay within.

As the Sand Golem's form disintegrated, a swarm of miniature Sand Scarabs burst forth, their sharp mandibles clicking with an insatiable hunger. I swiftly switched my tactics, calling upon my offensive mage spells once more. Fiery projectiles burst forth from my outstretched hand, engulfing the scarabs in a whirlwind of flames. They fell, one by one, consumed by the inferno.

My heart raced, the thrill of battle coursing through my veins. The desert sands became my proving ground, and I relished the opportunity to refine my skills, to push the boundaries of my abilities.

As I journeyed deeper into the desert, I encountered even more formidable opponents. Sand Wraiths, their ethereal forms swirling with sand and malevolence, emerged from the shadows. They moved with an otherworldly grace, their attacks fueled by dark magic. I met their onslaught with a relentless barrage of spells, calling upon the forces of light and purification to banish their spectral existence.

I haven't used such spells in such a long time, so I'm thankful that these things appear, it seems being friendly with the Pope back on Gaion was well worth doing.

The desert became my battlefield, a crucible where my strength and resolve were tested. I moved with a fluid grace, my magic gun and mage spells becoming extensions of myself. Sand creatures of all shapes and sizes fell before me, their defeat serving as a testament to my skills as a warrior and mage.

In the midst of battle, surrounded by the echoes of my triumphs, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. Each victory forged me into a more formidable opponent, sharpening my instincts and deepening my connection with the arcane forces that coursed through my veins.

As the sun began its descent, casting an amber glow upon the desert sands, I knew that my time in the desert was drawing to a close. I had faced the trials of the shifting dunes and emerged victorious, ready to move forward towards the Cactus Jungles.

But I carried with me the lessons learned, the experiences gained in the fiery forge of battling with these monsters.

With a final glance at the desert sands, I bid farewell to the creatures that had tested my mettle. They had been worthy adversaries, their ferocity pushing me to new heights of power. I would carry their memory with me, a testament to the strength of my spirit and the unyielding resolve that burned within.

As I set my sights on the horizon once more, the Cactus Jungles beckoned. It was time to face the next chapter of my journey, to upgrade my Mana Battery and advance to an 8th Circle. The desert sands had prepared me, honed my skills, and ignited the flame of adventure that burned within my soul....oh how I missed this feeling.

But....food comes first, oh I think shelter comes even more first, I guess creating a Sand Bungalow using a Sand Spell will provide what I need....now let us find a very much secluded spot, so secluded that not even Sand Creatures will be able to find it.

If there is none....I guess I could build a cave then build the bungalow within....
