*CHUCHUCHUCHUHCHUCHUCHUGGGGGGGgggggggggggggg.....
I found a parking spot near the Adventurer Guild, I was supposed to pay a parking fee but I told them that I was applying for an Adventurer License and they waived me off.
"Security Armor."
*WAONGGGGGGGGG CCCCCCHHHHKKKKKKKK CHACHACHACHACHAAKKKK
After taking out the backpack, the verbal instruction enabled some sort of armor plate covering using magic and covered the whole motorcycle and sidecar completely.
It looked like a stone rock was parked here instead of a vehicle, but with this no one will mess around with it while I'm not here.
So this is the famous Adventurer's Guild, pretty...plain.
I guess the "wrapping paper is dull" to hide something great inside. But still though, just a symbol of the guild with sparkling neon lights but no emblazoned name like "Welcome to the Adventurer's Guild"...then cue theme song.
*AHEM
My inner 8th grade syndrome is leaking, I was always whispered and talked behind my back when I was a low-ranking mage back then because I have the tendency to talk to myself quite often.
Well internet can't be wrong, as they told people that its okay and was a great way to release tension in a tension-filled situations. But they do advice to "tone it down" or "use the inner voice" or something to not be misunderstood by people....especially in public.
Shaking my head to get rid of other lurking thoughts about anime, manga, novels and movies, I used a bit of force to push open the swinging doors...which was a mistake.
*BLAGGGG
"What the fuck!??"
As I entered, there was a huge guy who was covering his nose, it seems to have bled a bit from the force of me opening and hitting his soft flesh nose.
I always forget that I was not in a human body but an android body that was waaay stronger than ordinary human. But it was quite confusing, this was the Adventurer Guild...is there someone so weak allowed in a guild?
I was busy contemplating to my own questions, that I wasn't able to notice that the hulking man was already in a fighting position and was already poised to deliver some violence on someone.
I don't know jack about computer programming but this android body and brain does, so this was that "upgrade" it was constantly alerting me about while driving on the way here.
When I was attacked by monsters in the desert, I did noticed some holographic pop ups that "something....something...initializing of...something is happening", but did not quite get it so I ignored it after awhile.
So to compensate for being an artificial being, this android body upgraded by enhancing its visual acuity by using a predictive method that can be used for anything that involves attacks, gambling or anything related to chance...I guess its pretty useful.
Since I was distracted and was about to eat a knuckle sandwich...or so the attacker thought.
*CCCCLLLLLAAPPPPP
I reacted and clasped the right hand with my palm, my hair blew a bit from the force wind that was created but otherwise, I wasn't hurt or more specifically...my hand wasn't hurt.
Not leaving anything to chance, I chanted a barrier spell on my palm, negating the force that was delivered and scattering it away from me...hence the wind blowing of my hair.
"Oi did you see that!!"
"Yeah Stark got face slammed...with a door!!"
"Funny ASF Bro!"
"Those muscles must be loaded with hot air if he gets downed like that."
Oh no.
Seems I'd attracted unwanted attention as a newbie Adventurer...this is so cliche.
The atmosphere in the Adventurer Guild was charged with anticipation as the crowd eagerly awaited on what comes next. Stark, a muscle-headed warrior with a reputation for his raw strength, flexed his bulging muscles, ready to prove his might once again that no one messes his face---specifically his nose like that.
Little did he know that his opponent would be none other than a tall, slim figure clad in robes—a battle mage android in disguise.
The android, known as the D.E.A.T.H., had entered the guild under the guise of a human adventurer. Covered in a layer of artificial slime skin that perfectly mimicked human flesh and blood, the android aimed to keep his true identity concealed from all, even his opponent.
As the two poised in a fighting stance pose, the crowd erupted in cheers and applause. Stark stepped forward quickly using his massive sword gleaming with a shiny light, while the android calmly followed suit, his metal bat emanating an otherworldly aura.
They locked eyes, neither aware of the hidden truths that lay beneath their façades.
No signal was given, and the battle commenced.
The guild leader in the shadows, erected an arena type barrier unnoticed using the Adventurer Guild's rune powered inscriptions---to prevent collateral damage among the spectators. His reasoning for allowing this was because it was boring and the guild needed an adrenaline pumping fight, every now and then.
Stark charged forward with a thunderous roar, swinging his sword with brute force. The android sidestepped with uncanny agility, his movements resembling a dance as he countered with a precise spell. Arcane energies crackled in the air, forming intricate patterns before converging into a focused beam of pure energy that streaked towards Stark.
With reflexes honed through countless battles, Stark deflected the beam with a powerful swing of his sword. The clash of metal and magic reverberated throughout the arena, sending shockwaves of force in all directions.
The android's eyes flickered with determination as he switched tactics. With a swift incantation, he summoned ethereal chains that shot out from his staff, seeking to bind Stark and restrict his movements. Stark grunted, muscles bulging as he exerted every ounce of his strength to break free from the magical restraints.
The android, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor, leaped backward, creating distance between them. He tapped into the core of his programming, accessing advanced combat algorithms that calculated the best strategy to defeat his opponent. The slim figure transformed into a blur of motion, launching a barrage of spell projectiles at Stark.
Explosions erupted around them as Stark deflected and dodged the onslaught, his instincts and battle-hardened skills keeping him alive. The android's movements were fluid and precise, seamlessly blending magic and martial prowess in a display of astonishing skill.
With a sudden surge of power, Stark closed the gap between them, swinging his sword in a sweeping arc. The android, now in close quarters, relied on his agility to evade Stark's blows, slipping through the warrior's defenses like water.
As the battle intensified, their clash resonated with bone-rattling impacts and explosive magical surges. The android's artificial muscles strained against the force of Stark's strikes, while the human warrior struggled to anticipate the android's ever-shifting tactics.
A hush fell over the crowd as the battle reached its crescendo. Stark, fueled by his indomitable spirit, unleashed a final devastating blow, channeling all his strength into a mighty overhead swing. The android, with lightning-quick reflexes, mustered the last of his power, summoning a reflect barrier of energy to protect himself.
The clash was cataclysmic. A shockwave rippled outward, shattering the ground beneath them and sending debris flying in all directions. The air crackled with residual energy as a cloud of dust obscured the arena, temporarily obscuring the combatants from view.
As the dust settled, the crowd held its breath in anticipation. The true nature of the android had remained hidden, and Stark, weary yet victorious, stood alone in the center of of the arena. The android had achieved his objective—he had fought valiantly while concealing his identity from both his opponent and the onlookers.
Stark lay unconscious on the floor in an embarrassing state.
"Get him out of here and put him on a stretcher for the healer out back!"
A much bigger black man came towards Omega Mane Crown and began to talk to him...
"What's your name?"
"My name is Deth Jones. I lost my phone and was hoping to buy a new on in the guild, I didn't know that entering the establishment would ensue a fight...so I had no choice but to defend myself. I apologize for the ruckus but it was not my intention."
"BWAAAAAAAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"This is the first time I came upon a very polite newbie applicant, you are an applicant to become an Adventurer right!?"
"Yes."
"Simple, direct and straight to the point...I like that. Well Janie will get you started and she will answer all your inquiries and the phone will be given to you and you can pay afterwards...you do remember you account and everything right?"
"Yes Sir. I thank you in advance."
"Nah...nah...its been awhile since the whole place witnesses a fight like that in a while. But its a good thing I was here and the damage is just the floor or else, you will have to spend some time in jail and pay up for any damages."
"Its a good thing that you were here Sir."
"Kekekek. Janie get him the papers needed for an applicant. You will still undergo a gofer hunt for tooth, hair, flesh and bones of a monster though...even if you were able to fight against an Adventurer."
"You don't have to worry about that."
"Okay, get to it and I won't hold you up anymore."
"This way Mr. Jones."
I looked back at the huge black man walking away towards an office, my android eye sized him up as very strong and I may have to put my life on the line to be able to fight someone like him...that exudes such a huge mana.
"Okay that will be all, now Mr. Jones you have to comeback again in the morning to hunt for some Blood Boars and Hot Dog monsters and collect their flesh, bones and teeth as proof, and you need to provide the guild with 50 each. You have faced against an Adventurer senior and won...so we had to increase the amount. I hope you understand."
"No problem, now if you could direct me to the nearest inn or hotel with the highest quality and I would be much obliged."
"Of course let me pull it up on the computer and I can send it to you phone and you can use the GPS (global positioning system) to make your way there, do you need a taxi?"
"Nope. Thank you very much anyway, and have a nice day."
"Goodbye and have a nice day to you too!"
I don't need a bath but this body did scuffed up...I guess a Clean magic spell is enough. But its not a bad idea to soak to relax my mind...this body is waterproof anyway and I can make it waterproof with magic too.
