Chereads / My Blue Lock System / Chapter 17 - Stage Two

Chapter 17 - Stage Two

First Stage Clear Gathering Area

Blue Lock

Second Selection

2nd Stage

'Congratulations on completing the first stage successfully.'

'You have been rewarded with 3000 system points and 900 system cash'

As I walked through the second stage, I saw that there were already four people in the room. Which means that I was the fifth person to have cleared the first stage.

The words "Form a three-man team to advance" were written on the wall. To pass the second stage, we simply needed to put together a team of three.

I noticed three players who had already formed a team and were moving towards the gate: Itoshi Rin (1), Aryu Jyubei (2), and Tokimitsu Aoshi (3).

'I guess they are already waiting for the next team to face them.'

Just then, the observer's tool activated.

The next person in the Room was Ranze Kurona (4).

Ranze Kurona

A teen who is significantly smaller than people his own age. He had a single braid hanging from his bright pink hair on the left side of his face.

Despite placing fourth in the second selection, Kurona wasn't given much screen time until the third selection, when he really started to shine.

Kurona was a very quiet, reserved person who only spoke when it was absolutely necessary, and he preferred to stay out of the spotlight. On the field, he prefers to support others rather than taking the lead, especially when it comes to Yoichi Isagi. He also has a tendency to repeat things and be semiconscious about his shark-like teeth.

His main weapons were his passing and lightning-quick speed. Kurona uses his speed to quickly maneuver around opponents by making small turns. Kurona excels at short passes, in contrast to the majority of players who prefer long passes. At the ideal distance, he makes a great passing option. Isagi and the other World XI eventually acknowledged his passing skill as being at a world-class level.

I needed someone who could deliver the ideal pass to me because of my incredible finesse shots, which find the goal almost 9 times out of 10. This means he already had a spot on my team. So I approached him.

"Hey, you are Kurona, right?" I said as I went to him.

"Huh?"

"Wanna join my team? Since there is no one else here." I asked.

He replied with his shark-like teeth, "Sure, I don't mind."

"Well, that leaves a spot for another player. Who else do you have in mind?"

"I don't know; I'd be fine as long as it's someone competent." He replied with a nonchalant shrug.

"Great, then let's see who else is next," I replied, impressed by Kurona's easygoing nature.

We need someone who can hold their own on the field and contribute to our team's success. Skill and dedication are key qualities we're looking for. The next spot would be for a player who possesses excellent ball control and strong communication skills. We want someone who can seamlessly integrate into our playing style and enhance our overall performance.

Then the sixth person entered the gathering area; it was Tanaka Shigen (6). While his playstyle

was not mostly shown in the manga, he managed to survive and was playing in the Neo-Egoist league. I didn't want to bet on his talents or skills.

"Well, what about him?" Kurona asked.

"Wait, you know him?" I questioned.

"No, but we're looking for the next player, right?" He said this as he was shaking his head.

"Yeah, well, let's just wait, so we can have more options to choose from."

As we were leaning on the wall, the seventh player entered.

"Hey, Murano, wanna join my team," Nagi (7) said as he approached us.

"Your team?" I inquired.

"Yeah, I was planning on waiting on Reo."

I firmly declined, saying, "No way."

While Reo was overall a good passer, I didn't want to be on a team with those two. With how biased Reo is towards Nagi, It'd be a blessing if I received only one pass from him in all of the second selections.

"Why?" Nagi enquired.

I replied, "You see, I'm already in a team of two.

He responded, "Well then, I want to join your team," refusing to accept my rejection.

"Huh?"

"Though Reo might be mad at me, I want to play with and against the best." "I want to try playing football with you," Nagi said.

"Well, I don't mind," Kurona retorted calmly and rationally.

"Sure, You're in then," I responded, while Kurona nodded in agreement.

Having Nagi on our team would strengthen us. His skills and newfound determination were unmatched, and his addition would bring a new level of competitiveness to our games.

"Great! Let's show them what we're made of," Nagi said confidently. The trio went to the third stage with the intention of competing against Blue Lock's top competitors.
