At this point, everyone’s attention was drawn back to Avita, whose cheek was red and swollen. She didn’t seem to have gotten just one smack, but several. Everyone felt sorry for her when they saw her.
Lucilla didn’t want to let go after seeing her friend’s puffy cheek and red eyes, as well as how strong she was fighting to keep back the tears.
