Lucilla kept staring at her watch, noting how quickly time had passed and Avita was nowhere to be seen.
Theresa couldn’t help but keep a closer check on her cousin and seeing how anxious she was about that nobody made her jealous.
She couldn’t show it, though, since it would make her appear horrible to Lucilla, and her parents would murder her if she did.
“How are you feeling, Cousin?” Theresa asked Lucilla with a fake worry in her tone, but it wasn’t obvious at the time, given Lucilla’s head was full with Avita and nothing else.
When she heard her cousin say something to her, she turned her head and smiled weakly, “It’s okay. I’m just curious where Avita went. It’s been a while,” she expressed her concern.
Theresa smiled as she continued to stare at her cousin with concern, suggesting, “How about you try calling her? She should still be in the club. After all, she doesn’t know anyone else in town save you.”
