Five Days Later – At The Palace
It had been five days that the King lost his libido, and it affected his wife badly. She observed that he was withdrawn, and lost interest in many things. The Prince noticed it but attributed it to the wedding's stress. The only official work he had done after the wedding was to get the court to summon Irene.
Nevertheless, with the absence of Mirabel, the Prince adjusted. The revelation he got from his parents gave him a reason to be more careful with the female domestic staff members. He sent the children to his parents' chamber and left only a male janitor for himself.
Furthermore, the presence of the children helped to stabilize the Queen. She occupied herself with their homework and allowed the King to be alone whenever he wished to. To her disturbance, he refused to discuss the libidinal problem with her.
