Carson was interrupted by the sudden beep from her system, he paused. She looked at her system, and her face radiated when she saw a message from the Diamond Company. Before she could click on the message, Alfred wished to reassure himself that his presence was not a distraction. Therefore, he pranked her, and she fell for it.
“Let's leave you to do your work,” he said with a sense of importance, and attempted to get up. Now, Mirabel stopped abruptly, and informed, “No. Your presence does not disturb me.” She fixed her gaze on him, and waited for him to take his seat, but he looked on. “Kindly take your seat,” she pleaded. Alfred sat back, and she happily appreciated, “Thank you for your understanding. I will be with you shortly.”
“You are welcome,” he acknowledged, but before he could swipe his phone, she exclaimed, “Oh no.”
Alfred looked up, and inquired, “What is the matter?”
