This is the third chapter of the story. Let's hop in...
It was until dawn around 3:00am that Tina was able to fall asleep. The events of the day had eaten her up.
Initially, her parents would have woke her up so she would go to school. But they realized what she was going through so they let her sleep and rest.
Tina slept for about 8 hours. She woke up around 11:00 am on that day. Because of that, she missed school and couldn't go to school.
Immediately she woke up, she went to brush her teeth and after that, she took a bath. That bath was a long bath because she kept on thinking about Victoria and whether or not she will survive.
After her bath, she put on a cute dress and wanted to rush to the hospital. But her mother stopped her...
"Dear, won't you eat something?"
"No mom, I'm okay"
" I insist you eat something before you go visit your friend at the hospital"
"Okay mom, if you insist"
"And oh, I will be going to the hospital with you today"
"Thanks mom for being so supportive"
"Don't worry dear, I'm always here for you"
Mrs. Anderson sat on the table to be able to watch Tina eat. Because she knew if she leaves the table, Tina won't eat the food so she made sure to supervise Tina.
After Tina ate her meal, her mom went to get the car keys so they can head to the hospital. She told Tina to head to the car and that she will be there very soon with the keys.
Tina's mom went upstairs and got the keys which was on her bed. She joined her daughter downstairs. She got to the car and they both entered the car and Tina's mother drove off.
Tina's mom drove about 1 hour until they got to the hospital.
When they got to the hospital, Victoria's mother was still there. Turns out she didn't leave the hospital the last night.
When Tina's mom saw this, she was really worried so she told Victoria's to go home and get some rest.
"You should go get some rest"
"No I can't, I can't leave my daughter like that"
"Don't worry, we will stay here and take good care of her"
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yes, don't worry. She will be fine"
"Okay, I will head home now but I'll be back very soon".
"Okay, take care"
"Bye"
Victoria's mother went home and went to shower. When she got out from the bathroom and cleaning herself, she just fell on the bed. She slept so deep because of how tired she was.
She slept for almost 3 hours and woke up very soon. When she woke up, she realized she had overslept so she immediately got dressed and rushed to the hospital.
She got to the hospital soon enough and instantly, she went to Tina and her mother and asked for updates. Tina's mother told her unfortunately there is no update.
She was extremely disturbed but she was willing to wait. Tina's mom sat with her and tried to encourage
her.
"You know, such is life. It always wants to take something away from you. Let me share my experience with you...it might work. When I was younger, my mother told me I nearly died because I was someone who was very ill. But she told me I was very strong and fought for my life and survived. So I'm sure your daughter is also a strong person. I know she will survive this as I did. So believe in her and believe in God mmm?"
Tina's mother said all this encouraging words in a hope to encourage Victoria's mom to have hope her daughter will be fine.
Back in the school, they were also in sorrow because they had also heard about what had happened to Victoria.
The head teacher had decided that the whole school had to gather some money so they can show support to her. He also said a selected few would go visit her and give her the money they had collected.
He announced this news at the school's assembly and he assigned the class reps to take the monies. His statement went like this...
"This school was built on the grounds of solidarity and unity. I'm this noble institution, although we are from different countries, different cultures, different background, it does not mean that we are not one. We are all human beings so if one of us is down, we are all down. So let's do our best to help our friend who is down. Thank you students for your time".
After his statement, he left the assembly.
The students were all surprisingly behind the head teacher that they do this nice gesture. The rest of the teachers gave their announcements and dismissed the students.
After they had scattered at the assembly ground, the class rep of Victoria's class, Diana, announced that, that class was Victoria's class so they needed to do something exceptional for her.
The whole class agreed and she announced that some of them would like to visit Victoria so whoever was interested should inform her.
Suprisingly, Malvin and his best friend, Benjamin offered to join. This came as a suprise because the whole class knew Malvin was not Victoria's friend so why would he offer to join?
But the class was not really bothered because they were all thinking about Victoria. They agreed to visit her after school.
Until then, they had to sit in class and absorb six hours of lesson. Almost the whole class didn't focus on the lesson the whole day because they couldn't wait to go see Victoria.
So when the bell rang for closing time, they all breathe a sigh of relief. They immediately assembled to know how many people were going to visit Victoria.
"So how many are we?" Ken asked
"We are twelve" Diana said
"Wait...Juliet is here, Mac is here, Akram is here, Charlotte is here, Micheal is here, David is here-"
"Enough of the counting! Please can you stop?" Diana demanded running out of time and patience.
"Oh yeah, yeah. I think we are up to twelve" Ken said.
"Now can we please go Ken? Do you have anything else to say or ask?" Diana asked him
"Oh no, no, we can go now". He replied
The group set off to the hospital to go see their friend, Victoria. Fortunately for them, they got a lift by a good samaritan so in no time, they got to the hospital to go see their friend. They alighted and thanked the kind driver.
They all entered the hospital's premises immediately. They searched all over the hospital for where Victoria's ward was. They were just walking around until Diana, the class rep spotted Tina sitting down with both her mother and Victoria's mother.
Diana shouted to the group
"Look! Turn around! There is Tina"
They all turned around and saw Tina. But Tina didn't really care about that because she was confused as to why and how Malvin is at the hospital.
"Did he come to see me?"
"Why is he here?"
She was asking all this questions in her mind.
Amidst this tension, she raised her head just to see Malvin staring at her seriously. She also stared back seriously which arose some feeling of tension in them.
