"If you idiots hadn't threatened to kill Evelyn, I would've only sealed you glutton, and maybe let that boy live. This is on you."
[God Cast: Spirit Scythe]
Yuna and Cherva stared at Stein.
"I'm way too tired for this…"
Yuna and Cherva had finally found the "Slothful One."
It was a fairly young man. 16 or so. He had medium-length brown hair and a childish appearance to his face. His eyes were a dark yellow.
"Readotri, you know what to do, right?" Yuna yelled out.
He sighed.
"I know what to do."
Stein watched, a little confused.
He had some experience, battle against 'Sin Retainers'
But what did they expect? Someone so young?
[Sloth's Cast: Slothful World]
The energy changed, for some reason. It was very faint, almost unnoticeable. But Stein could see it.
— The mana circulating in the air has changed. It's so slight, but I can see it.
Swsh!
In an instant, Readotri appeared in front of Stein. There was no sound, nothing to indicate his leave from his spot nor his arrival.
— When did he?!
Stein slashed his sword in front of them.
Readotri evaded, jumping over the heavy scythe.
Yuna and Cherva were already gone.
— Hah. I'll have to deal with this and find them again later. Troublesome sinners.
Stein threw the scythe at Readotri. It spun, reaching him faster and faster.
But of course, he dodged it again.
Stein pulled out his sword.
Readotri was an exceptionally slothful person. His connection to the [Sloth Sin] itself was part of the reason Stein was having trouble fighting.
Readotri pummeled Stein, striking him multiple times. Stein's guard was still raised.
He deflected as many attacks as he could, but Readotri appeared to get faster and faster.
— I've never fought against someone with this kind of ability. I need to figure it out.
He pummeled, continuously.
— It's an enhancing cast… but to this amount?
[God Cast: Soul Blades]
— There's gotta be a time… limit to it.
The soul blades stuck out of his body. Instead of them falling off this time, they stayed on his body.
Readotri jumped back.
— His attacks aren't special. And the damage isn't really that crazy.
Suddenly, Readotri stopped.
"I've become way too tired."
He yawned.
"Huh?"
He disappeared, right in front of his eyes.
"Huh?!?!"
. . .
. .
.
"On your count, my lord."
Oscar spoke, his hands firmly grasping his sword.
Yezekael and Isalda sat quietly, watching Caelum stand parallel to each other.
Caelum held his sword tightly.
Yezekael stared at Oscar, while Isalda glared at Caelum.
"Go!"
[Cast: Enhancement x5]
Light blue energy surrounded Caelum's body. He took this first leap.
Clang!
The two swords clashed together, with the sparks flying into the air.
"Don't start a fight with such a readable move, my lord."
"It's a duel. They should all start like that, no?"
"I'm just telling you."
Oscar pushed off, placing his other hand on his sword to exert more force.
Caelum slid across the ground.
Oscar came with a follow-up attack.
Isalda whispered. "To think this is a year in difference between skills."
Yezekael replied. "Well, that's if they've trained their whole life. Oscar hasn't, nor has Caelum."
"You know what I mean. I meant physically."
"Oscar is physically stronger than anyone his age, though. And his swordsmanship has been getting better and better."
Oscar and Caelum clashed, yet again.
[Cast: Cryo Steps]
The floor became icy, and Caelum began to lose his balance.
"A-ah!"
He slipped. Oscar pointed his sword at Caelum.
"It's my win."
"No fair! You used a cast!"
"On the battlefield, lots of unexpected things will happen. You have to always be ready for that."
Isalda laughed. "You'd think he was a war veteran."
