(Note: the battle between Tou, Oscar, and Yesynore was longer than I wrote, so time is a little disordered.)
The forest was like a battlefield. Everyone was attacking each other, not a single soul listening to Yesynore.
It was terrible. Awful.
Evan was caught in the constant fighting. An arrow cut past him, narrowly missing.
He ducked, in fear.
Another arrow came by. It charged at him, at an alarming speed.
Yesynore pulled him by his collar, assisting him in dodging it.
"Evan!"
"Y-yes, General Yesynore?" he replied, scared.
"Prevent as many deaths as possible, until I find Oscar."
"Wait, something like that is so sudden!-"
Yesynore disappeared, and Evan sighed. He would've pulled his hair out.
Evan scanned his surroundings. It was terror everywhere.
(Evan)
So sudden! Why the hell would the General make me do something like that!
I covered myself in mud, to conceal myself as well as possible. But even like that, I was still very close to getting spotted.
Come on, Evan. Think… think… think!
I picked up a dagger from the ground. It was worn down, the leather on the grip peeling off.
I jumped out of my hiding spot.
With my quickness, I jumped through the battlefield, disarming as many people as I could.
I moved very rapidly, and with the mud on my body, it was clear that they couldn't see who I was.
"Argh!"
"Ack!"
They let out noises of annoyance, as their weapons flew into the air.
This is good… it's working.
[Cast: Trap]
In an instant, a tight and thin string wrapped around my legs. My movement was hindered, and I fell to the ground.
Without hesitating, I sliced the strings off, and held the dagger into my mouth.
Like I expected, a second round of strings came flying at me, this time toward my arms. I cut it again.
That was close. I just need to make sure something like that doesn't happen again.
"Arghh!"
Before I knew it, everyone found their weapons again, and started attacking eachother.
Haa..
This is such a hassle.
Say, when did I start admiring Oscar? Was it because of his strength?
Yeah. But, he has quite a big influence over the entire unit. If he said that the sky was red, everyone would agree.
I remember when Kolic had claimed to be his biggest fan. He went so far as to she his hair white.
Thinking about it, it's still so… funny. Hehe!
But I swear I passed his corpse in my route.
I've decided.
I jumped into the air, out in the open, still covered in mud.
"It's me! I'm the target, you dumbasses!" I yelled out.
I wonder who's gonna give that fatty extra food when I'm gone.
