Chapter 15: The Mysterious Palace (Continued)

Robin and Aster hesitated as they stood in front of the imposing gates of the mysterious palace. Maaya and Adam reprimanded them for their selfish behavior, telling them that they couldn't just leave the group and go back.

"It's not wrong to fear for our own lives," Robin and Aster retorted, trying to justify their hesitation.

Allen, Maaya, and Adam decided to leave them outside and enter the palace by themselves. They opened the gate, their hands trembling with fear. They were alone at night, in the middle of the creepy desert with nowhere to go. Robin and Aster also decided to tag along, as it was equally dangerous to be alone outside all by themselves.

"Well, well, well, look who changed their mind. I thought you two were too scared to enter?" Adam teased, a smirk on his face.

Robin and Aster rolled their eyes, feeling embarrassed by Adam's teasing.

"Shut up, Adam," Aster retorted, her voice trembling slightly.

"Don't worry, guys. We're all in this together. We'll watch each other's backs," Allen said, trying to diffuse the tension between the group.

Robin and Aster nodded, grateful for Allen's words of encouragement. They knew that they had to put aside their fears and work together to find their missing friends.

As they entered the palace, the group was struck by the palace's grandeur and opulence. The walls were adorned with intricate carvings and elaborate murals depicting ancient battles and mythical creatures. The ceilings were high and vaulted, with chandeliers hanging from them, casting eerie shadows on the walls.

A musty smell filled the air, and the floors were dusty, with cobwebs covering the corners of the room. The palace seemed to have been abandoned for years, with no sign of life inside.

A sense of unease settled over the group as they walked through the palace's darkened hallways. The silence was heavy, broken only by the sound of their footsteps echoing off the walls. The group's sense of apprehension grew as they realized that they were alone in the vast, deserted palace.

Suddenly, they heard a loud bang sound from behind, and the door automatically closed, adding more to their fear. Maaya and Robin were very scared, and Adam tried to hold Maaya to comfort her, while Aster and Allen also felt scared but didn't show it. Suddenly, Aster saw a handkerchief on the floor, and Allen recognized it as Eve's.

"Isn't this Eve's?" Allen said, and Maaya nodded in agreement. "So we are heading in the right direction," he added.

"Maybe Emi, Jia, and James will also be inside," Maaya said, her voice trembling with hope.

"It's possible. Let's head inside. If God wants, we can get everyone here," Allen said, trying to reassure the group.

As they walked a few steps, arrows shot past them. Robin was just saved by chance, and everyone got scared. They realized that they had to be careful and stay on guard at all times. The palace was full of dangers, and they had to be prepared for anything.

"I don't like this place," Maaya whispered, her eyes darting around the darkened hallways.

"I don't think anyone does," Allen replied, his voice echoing off the walls.

The group remained quiet, their senses on high alert as they continued to explore the palace. They knew that they had to find their missing friends and get out of there as soon as possible. But with every step they took, the sense of danger grew stronger, and their fear intensified.
