As the morning sun bathed the streets in golden light, Nikhil stepped out of his house, feeling the warmth of his brother's well-wishes. He shouldered the bundle of wood and headed towards the bustling market, the anticipation of the day filling him with energy. The market was a vibrant hub of activity, with shops offering a diverse range of goods. Disappointed with the offered price for his wood, Nikhil reluctantly accepted the deal and hurriedly made his way towards the Academy, focusing on the upcoming meeting.
Nikhil reached the meeting point, a serene spot beneath a majestic tree, accompanied by a sizable rock for seating. As he settled on the rock, basking in the sun's warmth, he patiently awaited Shiven's arrival. Shiven appeared, slightly tardy, prompting Nikhil to remark on his lateness. Shiven shrugged off the notion, and without further discussion, they set off together towards their destination.
As they entered the classroom, Nikhil greeted his classmates with the customary "Namanarsh," receiving warm responses in return.
Shizouka turned to Shiven, "Namanarsh, Shiven," she said, giving him a smile.
Shiven kept staring at her for a moment.
"Are you trying to hit on me?" she asked him teasingly.
Shiven's face contorted with a sense of futility as he let out a sigh. "Why would I?" his voice tinged with a mix of resignation and questioning.
Nikhil and Shiven settled into their seats in the last column, with Shiven taking the left corner seat and Nikhil middle seat. Meanwhile Nidhi's nervous glances towards Nikhil prompted Anya to a seat switch.
"Would you mind switching seats with me?" Anya asked Nikhil.
"No, but why?" Nikhil replied curiously.
"No specific reason, but I would like to sit there," Anya replied with a warm smile.
As Nikhil's eyes met with Shiven's. They exchanged a knowing look. It seemed Shiven understood why Nikhil was hesitant to switch seats.
"I won't mind. You can exchange seat with her," Shiven said.
while Karan and Anya expressed their excitement, and Nikhil attempted to voice his concerns before Anya playfully dismissed them.
Karan couldn't contain his excitement as he realised that Anya would be sitting beside him. Nikhil hesitated, but Anya playfully dismissed his concerns and convinced him to go along with the seat switch.
Karan whispered to Nikhil. "Can't you understand my feelings? This year is going to be like heaven for me. A hot girl like Anya is going to sit beside me, and you are lucky too. You get to sit beside a hot girl like..." Karan trailed off, realising what he had blurted out, received a punch from Anya but couldn't hide his happiness. With a mix of excitement and anticipation, Karan's mind raced with the possibilities of having Anya as his seatmate.
Meanwhile, Nidhi finally found the courage to smile at Nikhil, who smiled back at her. The class proceeded with a touch of excitement due to the seat switch. However, their greetings were cut short by the teacher.
"Hey there, Namanarsh class," the teacher greeted them.
"Namana... "
"Take your seats, everyone," The teacher interrupted without letting them finish Greetings.
Teacher started discussing the annual point league. The absence of Abhay was noted, and the teacher continued with the topic.
The teacher explained the annual point league, where students would earn points based on their performance in exams, events, and acts of kindness. Negative points would be given for rule-breaking or misbehaviour. Nikhil sought clarification on which activities garnered more points, but the teacher emphasised that the focus should be on maintaining good behaviour rather than accumulating points. The class was startled when the teacher threw chalk at Shiven who was relaxed lying down on the seat, resulting in negative points.
Karan, Shizouka, and Nikhil stared at Shiven in disbelief. "I told you I'll earn you more points than anybody ever could," Shiven said after changing his sight to window.
"And exactly how are you going to do that?" Shizouka asked, her eyebrows raised in scepticism.
Shiven admitted without hesitation, "Umm...I don't know."
Karan and Shizouka rolled their eyes, frustrated at Shiven's lack of commitment.
The teacher concluded the announcement and led the students to the expansive training ground located behind the school. Divided into four squares connected by roads, the vast and perfectly flat ground provided an ideal space for training. A majestic Kadam tree offered shade and refuge during sessions. The training grounds encompassed various areas for combat, strategy, and physical fitness, including archery, martial arts, and conditioning. Each class occupying a designated square, ensuring organised training for all. Nikhil, Shizouka, and Karan marvelled at the size of the grounds as they walked across, The teacher explained that the training ground was designed to accommodate the many classes of the academy, allowing each one to train or hold battles without any space issues.
Nikhil inquired about the possibility of inter-class fights on the training ground. The teacher promptly dismissed the idea, "I expect you to behave appropriately and uphold the rules of the academy."
Shiven expressed his disappointment at not being able to punch a certain Someone's face, to which the teacher reiterated the need to wait for designated events.
The teacher announced that they would engage in duels to measure their strengths. Nidhi would face Anya, Nikhil would battle Karan, and the teacher himself would spar with Shiven. With Abhay absent, they prepared for intense one-on-one fights to showcase their abilities.
The group assembled on the training ground, preparing for duels to measure their strengths. Nikhil faced off against Karan, both determined to prove themselves. The teacher was ready to observe closely, while Nidhi and Anya offered words of encouragement to their respective friends. Karan vowed not to hold back, fueled by Anya's request not to let Nikhil win.
As the teacher called out for battle, Nikhil and Karan charged towards each other, fists flying. They were evenly matched, each landing blows and dodging attacks. It was an intense battle, one that had the other students and the teacher on the edge of their seats.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Karan landed the final blow and Nikhil fell to the ground, exhausted. The teacher walked over to them and helped Nikhil up.
The teacher praised Nikhil and Karan for their excellent fight, acknowledging their potential as Lycal Knights. Despite losing, Nikhil felt a strong sense of pride and accomplishment, knowing that he had put forth his best effort..
In the following duel, Nidhi and Anya demonstrated their determination and agility, with Nidhi emerging as the surprising victor. The teacher commended the fight, and nodded in approval, impressed by the skill of his students.
After Lilly's impressive victory, the teacher decided to invite Shiven to a duel as well. The two of them got ready to face off, Shiven was determined to put up a good fight, but he also knew that Anshuman was an incredibly skilled opponent. The rest of the class watched with bated breath, waiting to see who would emerge victorious. Whole class was cheering for Shiven in their hearts.
Anshuman remained calm and relaxed with his hands still in his pockets as Shiven charged towards him. Shiven stepped forward and unleashed a flurry of strikes at his teacher, Anshuman. He threw punch after punch, but Anshuman effortlessly dodged each one as he impressed students, his movements fluid and graceful. Shiven then tried to catch his teacher off guard by striking low, hoping to bend him at the waist, Anshuman anticipated the move as Shiven thought by swiftly bent himself.
Taking advantage of his teacher's lowered position, Shiven used a low sweep to make the teacher fully in air and followed by leaping into the air and delivered a powerful axe kick aimed at Anshuman's head. The class held their breath, their eyes wide with anticipation and excitement. But just as the kick was about to land, Anshuman moved with lightning-fast speed and vanished from sight, only to reappear a few feet away, completely unscathed leaving the class speechless. The students were on the edge of their seats, watching as Shiven landed on the ground. Suddenly, Shiven disappeared in a flash, leaving the students wondering where he had gone. But before they could even process what was happening, Shiven reappeared in the air in front of Anshuman, ready to strike with a powerful blow at his face. The entire class gasped in shock and felt goosebumps all over their bodies, as they witnessed the Shiven's speed and agility. The fight was far from over, and the students knew they were in for an unforgettable showdown.
Shiven's punch was accurate enough that it made Anshuman pull his hand out of his pocket and use that to catch the blow. "I underestimated him," Anshuman thought to himself. "I should have moved faster." The teacher was impressed with Shiven's skills, He praised, "I have to admit you are good. I haven't seen anyone as good as you at this age. Who taught you how to fight?" Shiven replied, "It was my dad, and do not hold back. I don't wish to do this all day."
Anshuman nodded in understanding and got into his fighting stance once again. The students were on the edge of their seats.
Shiven continued fighting, throwing punches and kicks at Anshuman, but the teacher blocked and dodged each attack with calculated precision. Anshuman held back, using only the necessary amount of energy and skill to block and dodge Shiven's attacks. But Shiven was determined to put the best out of him. Despite Anshuman's skill, Shiven didn't give up easily, continuing to press on with his attacks.
In the end, it was Anshuman who emerged victorious, without even wasting ten percent of his energy.
After Shiven and Anshuman's fight concluded, the teacher dismissed the class, allowing the students to rest. As the bell rang they gathered their belongings and prepared to leave. They noticed a list of previous champions of the Annual Point League Tournament displayed on the wall near the building's gate.
Anya was ahead of everyone and dropped her jaw in disbelief. Karan and Nikhil, who arrived shortly after, were equally shocked and stared in disbelief as if they had seen someone with two noses. Shiven, who arrived last, taking his time to avoid rushing. As he read the list, narrowed his eyes, and a grin slowly spread across his face.
The students were astonished as they read the list of previous champions on the annual point leaderboard. The students saw that every class had won more than once in the previous Fifteen tournaments, but They were taken aback by the impressive track record of Class B, led by Anshuman, who had been the reigning champions for the past eight years. As they realised they had something extraordinary, they grinned mischievously in excitement. The fight may have ended, but a new challenge was on the horizon, and the students were determined to make their class the champions once again.
The students left the school with a mix of exhaustion and excitement. As they walked out of the gate, they couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for what was to come. And the day came to an end, The sun had set, casting a warm orange glow across the sky, and the breeze carried the scent of blooming flowers. It was a beautiful end to a rough but exhilarating day.
