Chapter 7 - she needs rest
Sebastian's POV
What is with her and passing out?
"Seb, how are you so fast, where is Olivia?" He asks in between ragged breaths.
"Seb, Seb.." He calls after me, but I simply walk past him and make my way back to my bedroom.
"What in the world is going on, you…"
"Shhh, she needs to rest." I shush him as I tuck her under the bed covers, being careful so I do not touch her injured hand.
"But…"
"Let's talk outside." I tell him in nothing more than a whisper and make my way towards the door.
But on second thought, I walk back to the side of the bed to check on her.
Her soft breathing calms me, but I'm not leaving again. I need to find out what happened, but I know it wouldn't have happened if she hadn't left the room.
She should have listened.
"Let's talk here." I tell him acting like I do not realize how his gaze kept following me back and forth as I went about putting her together.
"What in the world is going on Seb, you are acting really weird." Draven says and I let out a chuckle.
"What is going on, she passed out and I tucked her in bed. Do you need me to explain myself to you?" I ask him and he takes a step back.
Timothy might just lose it if he goes on.
"It's just."
"What?"
"You are never one to be affectionate, nor are you one to be possessive." Which is right, but this little wounded werewolf in white just brought out the side of me I never knew existed.
And we haven't even known each other for up to a day yet.
"And there is the curse too." He continues, but I can tell he is not done.
I decided to be patient, because snapping at him might disturb my little angel from her little sleep.
But mentioning the curse even for him who has been close to me for more than a decade now is too much.
My gaze hardens, I can tell.
And Timothy, my wolf wouldn't stop raging as well.
"But you are showing all those attribute that you are incapable of to someone who is nothing more than a maid." He says in a final tone and receives a punch I'm sure he wasn't expecting flat on his face.
"Look what I was saying." He holds the side of his face and staggers backwards with a groan.
"You are getting all defensive when I have only just called her what she is." He says and I land another blow on his face, aiming to hear a crack that would sooth my anger.
But only his skin breaks and starts to bleed and he is already healing up.
"Don't you dare talk down on her, ever again. I don't care if I can't have a mate or if I'm cursed, I don't care if she was the lowliest life in her pack, but since she has been rejected and has been left to die in the place, she has become mine.
"Alpha Sebastian, you have been bewitched." He says and casts me a glance of pity.
As if I have just struck the worst luck of my life.
But who does he think he is?
Who does Draven think he is to condemn this?
"Get out!" I roar with so much command and he does so immediately.
But not without looking towards the bed like the person on it was nothing more than a condemned devil incarnate.
"No wonder Sabrina tried to harm her, she must have seen something." He spits with spite before disappearing out the door.
How dare he cross the boundary.
Sabrina was using black magic for an even unjustified cause. I will make sure to get to the root of it and uproot everything before it stems deep in the pack.
And even that I can't bear to see happen.
No, not under my leadership. I have to be the greatest alpha the red moon pack has ever known
But until then, my little angel has to sleep.
So I walk after him in three long strides and bang the door after him before putting all of the locks in place.
That was infuriating.
I try to calm my angry nerves down by taking even breaths, but it does only little.
Having to lash out at Draven for something I can't even name is weird, but I still feel like I'll do it again and again if I had to, for her.
I walk to her side of the bed and take my seat beside her.
And before I know it, I'm staring at her skinny face which I can't help but find beautiful.
My gaze traces the lines of her face and I find myself reaching out to touch her face.
So smooth yet rough from malnutrition, I spread her blonde hair away from her face and watched her breath steadily.
'attributes you are incapable of to someone who is nothing more than a maid.' Draven's words rings in my head and I wince at the loud echoes they are beginning to cause.
But the slight stir from her and I have my full attention on her again.
Does she need something? Is she uncomfortable?
My shift in focus shifts my thoughts from the bothersome one and I'm cool again, wondering how much she has suffered and how I want to and will make sure she is fine, well fed and well treated from now henceforth.
"Don't mind him, I'll protect you and make sure no one ever dares to harm you in the future." I whisper gently in her ears as I pat her hair.
An action I realize calms me down as well.
"I'll feed you till you become so fat and all the sunken skin on your body comes back to life." I tell her and I find myself chuckling at the thought of it.
But a look at her beautiful face reminds me that it'll be worth it.
I'll give her a lavish bath when she wakes up and get my personal doctor to treat her.
Her healing is slow and so is everything else about her, but I still find her cute.
Maybe Draven was right, maybe she has really cast a spell on me.
But I don't mind, I really don't.
