June and Luen having left the boys, chatted as they walked down towards the Royal Garden bakery an annex to the main restaurant. The scenery of the restaurant was something to speak of. The triple leaping dolphin shaped fountain built to light up at night to give a romantic feel.
The pathway, graced with shining marbles of different colours leading straight to the entrance of the restaurant and another towards the garden that housed the bakery. The various specie of flowers and the beautiful sakura trees planted by the wishing lake with benches arranged making it look like a love garden was a sight to behold.
Soaking in the feel of the garden, they sat by the wishing lake throwing in a few coin while making a wish. They wished the boys were there to see the view and took a few photos to show them. After sometime, they headed for the main bakery building where they got the pastries they came for.
"Isn't that Ryan?" Luen asked as they stepped out of the garden area. Turning to the where Luen had pointed, there stood Ryan in her green camo trousers and long sleeved one-handed crop top. With her shades on, she walked into restaurant taking her seat opposite a guy who flashed her a smile which she returned.
"What's she doing here and who's that guy?" Luen asked.
"We are here together, how am I supposed to know that? He's probably a friend." June answered as she resumed walking.
"Yeah, probably." Luen said still staring. Grabbing her by the hand, June pulled her along.
"Let's go or we'll keep mum waiting. Aunt Maggie is also at home so you are coming with me." She said as they intertwined their fingers.
"Hey punk, you seem to have become more handsome since the last time we met." Ryan said with a teasing smile as she took the opposite seat.
"And when was the last you saw me? " He asked raising up his head to look at her with a smirk on his face.
The young man clad in black from head to feet giving off a bad boy vibe. A black leather jacket on a white top paired with black punk leather trouser, black boots and an ear piercing. What's left? A handsome smirking face. Looking at the smirking face in front of her, she scoffed saying 'never mind' as it had really been long since they last met.
"You do know that your brother wouldn't want you meeting up with me right?" He asked smirking as he bit on the toothpick which he had earlier taken.
"He wouldn't know unless you tell him, or do you plan to?" She asked raising her brows. Looking at her smug face, he couldn't help but laugh.
"Of course not, I'm not looking to die. After our fall out, I'm sure he'll just blow my brains out before I get to speak. He said with a shrug as he relaxed into the chair.
"Nice, so he won't know. Besides, he's returning in two weeks." She said as she picked up the menu glancing through it before calling on the waiter to take their order.
"So, why did you return to city H?" He asked as he took a sip from the glass of water on the table.
"Dad moved the business back here and I also felt like coming back." She said picking her cutlery as the waiter placed the meal on the table.
"Hmm, problems outside?" He asked as he also picked his cutlery.
"Not really, but maybe a little." She said as she munched on her meal.
After a while,
"So, the main reason for meeting?" He asked as he raised his head a little from the food to look at her.
"Hmm..well about that." She said dropping her cutlery as she picked up the napkin cleaning her lips.
"I need your help in dealing with some girl. Dealing not like finishing but rather to make her stay away from someone." She said.
Dropping his cutlery and wiping his lips, he took a sip of water before asking.
"Who is she?"
"Her name is June and she is Xan's girlfriend." She said looking out of the glass window before returning her focus to him.
"I want them to break up, have a misunderstanding or whatever, I don't care. I want you to either scare her away or create a misunderstanding between them." She explained her motive.
"Xan?? You are still hooked on that boy, even after five years? I heard you got enrolled in the school, he's the reason." He said as he was already certain of it.
"Why do you want to create a misunderstanding between them?" He asked looking at Ryan.
"What do you mean by why? He's meant to be with me and no one else. We love each other and that girl is just a distraction, an obstruction to us being together." She said what she supposed was reasoning.
"Babe, stop being delusional. You do know this isn't love but obsession and possessiveness?" He said making her hiss. He only called her babe when he wasn't in support of her decision.
"So are you helping me or what?" She asked rudely.
Already used her rude and snobbish behaviour, he remained unfazed.
"Rye, no matter how much I support your decisions, it doesn't mean I wouldn't tell you when you are making a mistake. I was your brother's best friend for a long time and even if we have fallen out, I would still honour him as a friend by correcting his little sister. Your decision is a wrong one and we both know that guy doesn't love you. Why waste precious time on him?."
"He does and I know it. You have no right to say otherwise when you don't even know him." She said as she was already annoyed.
"If you don't want to help me, fine, just say that and I'll find someone else or better still do it myself." She said packing her stuff as she stood to leave.
"Chill girl. I didn't say I wouldn't help, I've given you my thought on it and the rest is up to you to decide." He said as he as he pulled her back to sit.
"Let me see her photo and I'm sure you know the rest." He said nonchalantly as he relaxed on the chair. Opening her bag, Ryan brought out her phone scrolling through the photo gallery before stopping at a particular picture. She passed the phone to him and sat back recomposing herself.
"She beautiful." He said clicking his tongue as he stared at the photo. "You sure about this?" He asked as he passed her phone to her.
Snatching her phone from him, she glared at him answering,
"Yes I am and I'm not forcing you." She said obviously offended by his indirect dissuasion.
"Calm Kitten, I was only asking." He said raising his hands as if surrending.
