Richmond paced anxiously in the dining room, the clock ticking away the minutes. Despite the meticulously planned proposal, Anne's absence fueled his impatience. Frustration crept in as he wondered about the delay.
"Are they building a house on her face or building a rail station on her body? What is keeping them?" He murmured under his breath.
"It's just a simple order, dress her up for tonight. How hard is that?"
With every passing second, his mind oscillated between annoyance and eagerness.
