Chapter 10 - CHAPTER 9: A VERY BUSY DAY

A VERY BUSY DAY

Richmond knew he had work to do at the office and not to stall all day thinking of his cursed life after all he had a business empire to run.

He was supposed to tell his father of his departure but he didn't, his presence would make his father more worried for him.

He stepped out of his room, his steps were calculated and immaculate, he confidently walked past the stream of servants that greeted him only nodding his head to show that he acknowledged their greetings, he wasn't the type to talk much, nodding his head to their greetings was enough for the servants.

Some of the female servants blushed as he nodded at them, they were fully aware of his handsomeness and toned figure, Richmond was already used to the attention he gets from the female servants, so he ignored them.

But he won't take it lightly with any of them if they make any romantic advances at him.

He stopped at the car garage, cars of different colors were stored there, many unused but kept neat by the servants.

Because of his love for cars, Richmond hardly has the same car for a long, he dumps it and buys the latest one that has caught his interest.

Already the driver a middle-aged man was there in his neat blue shirt and his black trousers with polished black shoes, waiting for his boss to show up.

"Good morning sir," the man said with a small smile on his face as he saw his boss coming.

Richmond nodded his head and answered in his usual deep voice, "Good morning Jackson, get that car ready," he pointed to a luxurious navy-colored car with its advanced automatic functions, and immediately Jackson hurried to do his Boss's order.

The driver got the car ready and Richmond entered the car and sat down as he could feel the softness of the car seat under him.

He inhaled silently as he felt his world crashing on him, he closed his eyes and relaxed his body more into the seat.

The driver watched his boss from the front mirror, his eyes were closed and his mouth was pressed hard against each other, his boss was not a chatterbox normally but today he seemed different and occupied, he could tell because he had worked with his boss for seven years now.

Richmond could sense the driver's gaze on him, "If you crash into another car and I get injured, will you be able to compensate me for it? He said as he slowly stared back at the driver through the front mirror, his green and brown eyes were hard and menacing

The driver's face grew red from the embarrassment of being caught peeping at his boss, "sir," he said and turned all his focus on the road, he became awkward all of a sudden.

Richmond sighed, not that the driver did such a bad thing in staring at him but Richmond hated when people stared at him either in pity or with worry, he pressed a button by the side of the car and a partition appeared, dividing the driver seat from the passenger seat.

The driver was grateful for the partition as he could no longer sense his boss's intense eyes on him and Richmond was able to relax freely without the driver peeping on him.

They encountered the traffic that kept them driving slowly for a while, Richmond wasn't happy about it.

They finally reached the office, the driver came down from the car to open the door for his boss to come down, Richmond came down from the car with poise and confidence.

The office was a five-story building where the most popular games played by children, teenagers, and adults all over the world were created, Richmond was the CEO of the ASTRO world games, his company was the number one in creating fun and challenging games and had branches in different locations across the globe.

Workers surrounded the place as they scurried away in fear when they saw the boss, He strode calmly with his briefcase in his hands, one of the workers opened the glass door for him and he gave him a slight nod of the head.

As he walked towards the elevator that would take him to his own private office, he walked through the hallway, people who were typing at their computers filled the hall, and he was using his eyes to look around, judging his workers with his mixed-colored eyes.

He saw them, sitting poised, their backs and their expressions serious as they were typing away on their keyboards, many of them were wearing glasses, he didn't need them to greet him since he hardly replied.

He smirked a bit, he knew that all of this was a farce, once he left their presence, they were going to go back to the latest gossip they were gisting about before he came in, it was their usual morning routine.

He quickly reached his office using the elevator, his secretary was already on his seat, she stood up from her seat when she saw him approaching, she greeted him, "Good morning sir," she said and gave him a wide smile.

The red gown she wore was a bit inappropriate for office wear, it had a deep cut on the cleavage, exposing her assets, it was tight against her figure and hugged her like a glove revealing her hourglass shape, she wore red strapped heels as she stood, expecting a reaction from him.

He looked at her the same way as he looked at her before in his usual stoic gaze, uninterested in her outfit.

"Get me my coffee," he ordered not answering her greeting, and walked into the office.

The woman was not happy, she was expecting to see a reaction from him but he didn't react even to scold her.

She did not allow his behavior to get to her, 'I must get him, he is young, and he is so handsome with his high nose and a jawline that could break glass even his two-colored eyes added a certain charm to his look and he is a billionaire, I have to get him somehow,' she thought as she promised herself to make Richmond fell in love with her.

Her eyes filled with determination.
