As the night progressed and the spirits took hold, Anne found herself in uncharted territory. Feeling the effects of alcohol, she admitted with a tipsy smile, "I have never felt this way in my life. I've never sat down with people and drank like this."
Belle, ever the provocateur, teased, "But you lived in Capital Q. I'm sure there were people eager to drink with you."
Anne's response was tinged with bitterness as she confessed, "Drink with me? I don't really have friends. The person I once took as a friend was actually a snake. Her name was Rosa, and she was quite a bitch. She was always with me so that she could make Madam Franscera like her as if I was the key to making someone like you and apart from her, I had no one to talk to." Anne sighed and remarked. "I have lived a fucking life."
