Anne leaned forward with a mischievous grin, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Guess what, you two?" she began.
Coco and Belle exchanged curious glances, their interest piqued. "What is it, Anne?" Coco asked, her voice tinged with curiosity.
Anne took a deep breath, her heart pounding with excitement. "Well," she started, "you won't believe this. Mr. Richmond approached me this afternoon. And he... he invited me to a fundraising event next week Friday."
Coco and Belle's eyes widened in unison, their jaws dropping open in surprise. "What?" They exclaimed in unison.
It was a well-known fact among Anne's friends that Mr. Richmond, the enigmatic and reserved CEO of the company where Anne worked as his secretary, had never extended such an invitation to any of his employees before. He was known for his dedication to his work and a certain aloofness that kept his professional and personal life separate.
