Anne rose from her seat when she heard the elevator chiming, hoping to see Richmond only to see Dawson approaching her desk with a polite smile on his handsome face.
Richmond was missing from work once again. It was unlike him to be absent, especially without prior notice. Her initial hope of seeing Richmond dashed when Dawson approached her desk instead.
Anne forced a smile on her face, "Ohh! It's you," her voice laced with disappointment.
Dawson stared at Anne questioning, "Mr Richmond has been missing from work for days, have you heard from him?"
As Dawson voiced his concerns, Anne struggled to maintain her composure, "Yes, he has been busy with a new project he is working on."
