Richmond's eyes reflected a mixture of longing and reluctance as he reluctantly contemplated the impending separation. "I hate for us to part like this."
Anne, however, offered a glimmer of hope, reminding him of their imminent reunion.
"We are going to be seeing each other tomorrow at work," Anne understood how Richmond felt.
"Tomorrow at work won't come soon enough," Richmond remarked with a touch of sadness.
With a sense of desperation, Richmond suggested an alternative. "Maybe you should come to my place," he proposed, hoping to extend their time together.
Anne, however, remained steadfast in her prior commitments. "I've already promised Coco and Belle that I'll be there today," Anne explained.
Richmond, feeling a sense of urgency, tried to persuade her to change her plans. "Can't you cancel?" he asked, his tone a mix of pleading and desire.
Anne's response was resolute. "Nope," she said, standing firm in her decision.
