Anne questioned, "Will you force yourself on me?"
Ripple's cold gaze met hers. "If the need arises," he admitted callously.
"Bastard! You deserve to rot in hell," Anne spat, her defiance wavering in the face of her captor's ruthless demeanor.
Ripple, unfazed by her words, asserted, "You better get used to me, woman. You're not going to like yourself if you displease me." His gaze roamed over Anne, assessing her with a possessive air. "I like my women full, with enough flesh on them. I'll get you dinner."
Anne, overwhelmed by shock and fear, crumpled to the ground. Tears welled in her eyes, but she held them back, refusing to show vulnerability. During her turmoil, she questioned her decision to come to Capitol City. "Why did I come here? I should have just submitted my resignation letter instead of coming here."
Seeking support, Anne looked to Damien, but his avoidance of her gaze only deepened her sense of isolation.
