Klaus spent the rest of his break in Ibben with his family. It was the only compromise his mother could come to. She wanted him to spend his time with them as her son rather than away from the family as his father and brothers.
As the archduke, Elloden could stay and have his underlings take on the workload but he was the hands-on type. He would personally oversee most of the work done under him and as the archduke, there would be a lot of work to do, keeping him away from home most of the time.
As for his brothers, his father has already declared that the one with more merits in the military would be at the forefront, as his heir to the seat of the archduke. Though this would act as the first round, followed by Elloden's own test, nonetheless it would still help them while his father selects the heir.
