One can see him fuming as he crumpled the letter, which carried the message about the tournament.
Thandven desert, located west of the Gerret Empire, has long been a place for the people of free tribes. Everyone who chose to be here was either exiles or people who wanted to be free. As a result, there was never a central government that ruled the desert.
It doesn't mean that no one has tried to do the impossible but failed to do so.
The old man was one such man, who tried to unite the free tribes but failed like many before him. The reason behind his failure was the three nations, who didn't want a fourth power, especially something that ruled the Thandven Desert.
