(Klaus's PoV)
I finally got my own room in the academy, in fact, I should say I got my own house in the academy.
The academy's first rule is to reward the talented. The talent here doesn't just imply the one they were born with but also the will to reach a higher place despite of conditions they were in.
A born talent is useless without hard work. It would be trashier than a person who has trash talent at birth but has the will to go against hell and heaven.
Every top ten would get their own house. Each of them was fitted with the best facilities available. These ten occupy the entire hill and it stays the same for the seniors too.
The mana concentration would also be higher compared with where others are located. Only the top ten seniors, some faculty houses, and some facilities of the academy have a higher quality of mana.
This is nice. I have access to a higher quantity and quality of mana. I believe this was done either by formations or it is a natural occurrence. Probably there is a natural mana reservoir here and the academy could have developed it using formations. For a natural occurrence, it wouldn't be possible to look like this.
With my own house here, with personal facilities for training, I could power up pretty quickly.
Only by getting better results can I stay here or get a better one. Yes, from what I was told, even though the top ten have higher mana compared to others, they don't have access to the exact same amount of mana. The number one house would have the best in their year.
Moreover, the senior's houses have a higher amount accessible compared to their juniors. Only the faculty can top the students in this matter. If any of those faculty takes someone as a personal disciple, they too could access a good amount of mana.
As I said, the only way to get access to resources is to work hard. To keep the resources you got, work hard, or else someone else could snatch them away. Once lost, there is a high chance that you'll fall down consistently. This is because, if you didn't improve yourself with a higher quantity of resources, then you might not with a lower quantity.
So it brings more pressure on the toppers who had to work harder than others so that they wouldn't lose the resources.
For me though, it is good to have access to excellent mana both in quality and quantity but the most required is Sin Points.
The only way to earn a lot of them is by the skill, 'Will of the Sin'.
From what I have seen so far, every sin gives me two skills. One is called Will and the other Touch, followed by the name of the sin.
The skill, Will, earns me Sin Points, while the skill, Touch, gives some power related to the Sin.
The question is how to optimize the use of 'Will' so that I could earn more points. From the activated sins, not all give points easily. The sins of Gluttony, and Sloth are easier as everyone would eat and sleep but even after all these years, the gains aren't much.
The new sin I obtained almost a year back, Pride, looks like a tough cookie. The earning path is very difficult but I hope when passed through would give a lot of points.
I can't just depend on these three if I wanted to improve myself quickly. I need to activate other sins. Now there is only one hurdle stands in front of me. The solution to that hurdle would help me become a powerhouse.
How to activate other sins?
The remaining sins are Greed, Lust, Envy, and Wrath.
From previous notifications when the sin was activated, I could concur that a condition has to be satisfied. This condition would probably depend on the sin in question.
Greed might have some condition of stealing.
For Lust, probably having sex with someone or something along the lines.
Envy could get activated by probably provoking someone who is better than me.
Wrath might be activated after some good old revenge.
These may be not the right conditions but the condition wouldn't differ much from what I think.
The only way to verify is to experiment.
Now the only question remains, which of the remaining sins to choose?
