Though my rank degraded by two, I don't care much about the ranks though. As a child of high noble, I retained the minimum expected. So I'm good on that lane.
Moreover, the dungeon exam is based mostly on luck.
No one knows where the monsters are or where other students spawned. If you are lucky, you will encounter monsters at regular intervals, the maximum number of monsters you can face without losing. More than that, you wouldn't face other students.
If you are unlucky, you either don't encounter monsters much or more at the same time. In addition to that, you face other students often. If you could beat students, it would be well and good but if the other one ambushed you or outnumbered you, it would be most likely hell.
In that aspect, I should say that I'm neither lucky nor unlucky.
