Everyone that entered the dungeon, had their own plans for their dominance. Everyone wants to be one of the top rankers. Though they knew that there were many highly qualified students, they didn't want to back down, as being a top ranker has many benefits.
The academy would nurture the top students with much better resources and teaching materials. Even if they offended someone, it would be worth it.
Though the academy looks as if it didn't pay attention to bullying and fights that happen in the academy, they pays a lot of attention.
They weren't involved in the fights because they were only first years who had to still see how reality works. Secondly, most fights involve one or another top students who can protect themselves. They would never let someone with talent fall easily.
