I was right about the participant's observation and deduction.
The first day ended, but the group battles weren't done. There are still more people than necessary for the main event. Only when the number is reduced to the required number would the main part of the tournament start.
We got to rest for the night but the matches would begin again the next morning. For the second day, there were no matches for me.
The event organizers set the event such that no one who survived the first day had to fight the next day. We have to fight again on the fourth day.
The two days would be rest days for us. In these two days, the remaining participants who hadn't clashed would be participating.
From the scheduling, one can concur that there were a lot more participants this time than a decade ago. After all, the prizes are too good to let go for the awakened.
