Kassandra greeted us with a smile as we entered the penthouse.
"How was your trip, girls?" Kassandra asked.
"It was amazing," Liana replied. "We had so much fun."
I nodded in agreement and added, "We stayed at a nice quiet cabin out in the countryside. It was so peaceful."
Kassandra raised an eyebrow and asked, "That sounds interesting. What did you do?"
Liana and I shared stories of our trip, but we didn't mention the fact that we stayed under different aliases or that we could shape-shift. That was our little secret, and it's not like Kass would believe us anyway.
After a while, Kassandra excused herself to take a phone call, and Liana and I sat down on the couch.
"I missed this place," Liana said, looking around the penthouse.
"I know what you mean," I replied. "But I also enjoyed creating that bloody masterpiece at the beach. It was so freeing."
Liana nodded in agreement and said, "We should plan another trip soon."
I smiled and said, "Definitely. But we have to be careful to cover our tracks. Someone must have reported that scene to the authorities by now."
Liana grinned and said, "Agreed."
Liana turned on the TV, and the news was on. The reporter was standing on the beach, and there was crime scene tape everywhere. The police were sheltering the bloody incident from the eyes of onlookers.
"Breaking news," the reporter said. "There has been a violent incident at the beach here in Midnight Bay. The police are currently investigating, and we don't have many details at this time. What we do know is that a disturbing scene was left behind, leaving a scuba instructor severely mutilated with what seems to be a message drawn out using his organs, we do advise that this is very graphic. So far the police have not reported a positive I.D. on the man, but they are reaching out to the scuba company to figure out who it could be. We will keep you updated as we learn more."
Liana and I exchanged excited glances. It looks like this will be big enough to distract the residents of Midnight Bay from the disease. We decided to keep an eye on the news and see if there were any updates.
Katerina said. "It looks like our plan worked like a charm, now we should definitely get back to Life as usual in case investigators find any evidence that leads them towards us in any way."
After the news report, Kassandra returned to the living room and sat down with us.
"Is everything okay?" she asked, noticing our worried expressions.
"We just saw the news about the incident at the beach," Katerina said.
Kassandra nodded and said, "Yes, it's terrible. I hope everyone is okay."
"I can't believe something like that could happen so close to us," I said.
"It's scary," Liana added.
Kassandra looked thoughtful for a moment before changing the subject. "Hey, I was thinking, why don't you two come with me? Our parents are wanting to get together, and it would be great to have a family dinner."
I smiled at the idea, and Liana said, "That sounds like fun. We'd love to."
Kassandra grinned and said, "Great. Let's head out. It will be nice to catch up with everyone."
As we left, I thought about how convenient for a cover story it is to go visit our parents again. I wondered what mom, was going to make for dinner. She was an amazing cook and always made the best green bean casserole.
We all got ready for dinner. We arrived at my parent's house, and Dad greeted us at the door. "Hey guys, come on in," he said.
We walked into the living room, where Mom was sitting. "Hi girls, it's so good to see you," June said, giving us a hug.
"It's great to see you too," we all replied.
We all sat down for dinner, and Mom had made her famous green bean casserole and lasagna. We chatted and caught up on each other's lives, and it felt like old times. After dinner, we all sat in the living room and talked some more.
"I can't believe how fast time flies," Paul said. "It feels like just yesterday that you girls were little."
We all laughed, and Kassandra said, "Yeah, now we're all grown up and have our own lives, did you expect Katerina to be a lesbian?"She said jokingly.
"It's not like that matters, you simply like whoever you like silly girl" Mom answered a little defensively.
"Mom, she is just joking, she loves Liana," I said.
Liana sat up from the couch giggling."I appreciate you defending us June, but Kassandra has truly become my second best friend."
Kassandra crossed her arms. "Hey, what do you mean your second best friend, who's your bestie?" She asked.
"Obviously me, silly," I interjected.
As we were getting ready to leave my parent's house, Liana suddenly dropped to her knees and pulled out a bright ruby ring with black and white diamonds around it. "Katerina, you wild and beautiful thing, you that I love you unconditionally, and I can't imagine my life without you. Will you...please marry me and do me the greatest honor of being my wife?" Liana asked, looking up at me with a hopeful expression.
I was stunned. I had no idea that Liana was going to propose. Tears welled up in my eyes as I looked at her. "Yes, of course, I will silly," I said, my voice choked with emotion.
Kassandra gasped and said, "Oh my god, this is amazing!" She quickly took out her phone and started recording.
June and Paul were also ecstatic. "Congratulations, you two!" June said, giving us both a hug.
As we hugged, I felt a rush of happiness and excitement. I couldn't believe that Liana had proposed to me, and I was overjoyed at the thought of spending the rest of my eternal life with her. My heart was pounding, and I felt like I was floating in that peaceful tub of blood again.
After we left my parent's house, Liana and I went for a walk. We talked about our future together and what we wanted for our wedding. Liana was full of ideas, and I loved hearing about all of them. She wanted a big celebration, with all of our friends and family there to share the joy of our special and technically holy day.
"I want it to be a day that we'll never forget," Liana said, her eyes shining with excitement.
I smiled, feeling a sense of warmth and contentment. "Me too," I said. "I can't wait to start planning everything with you."
As we walked, we talked about our plans and our dreams for the future. I felt grateful to have Liana by my side, and I knew that we were going to have an amazing life together. We would need to plan a wedding here and another one in a different dimension where we could sacrifice lives and bathe in their blood together so that we can become truly one.
As we walked, I looked around at the beautiful scenery, taking in all the sights and sounds around us. The sun was just starting to set, casting a warm golden glow over everything. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and salt water, and I felt a sense of peace and tranquility.
As we talked, I couldn't help but feel like everything was falling into place. I had found the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, another goddess that has a bloodlust.
The next week, I decided to secretly go out and buy a ring for Liana. I wanted to surprise her with a ring that matched mine, with a large red ruby and black and white diamonds.
I spent hours looking for the perfect ring, going from store to store, trying on different styles and sizes. Finally, I found the perfect one, and I knew that Liana was going to love it.
As I rushed back to the penthouse, my heart was pounding with excitement. I couldn't wait to see the look on Liana's face when I gave her the ring.
When I got back to the penthouse, Liana was sitting on the couch, reading a book. I walked over to her, my heart racing with anticipation.
"Liana, I have a surprise for you," I said, pulling out the ring from my pocket.
Liana looked up, surprised. "What's this?" she asked, taking the ring from my hand.
"It's a ring for you," I said, smiling. "I wanted to get you something to match mine, with a red ruby and black and white diamonds."
Liana's eyes widened as she looked at the ring. "Katerina, this is beautiful," she said, slipping the ring onto her finger. "I love it so much, babe."
I felt a sense of joy and happiness wash over me as I watched Liana admire the ring. I was so glad that I had decided to get her a ring, and I knew that it was going to be a symbol of our love for each other for years to come.
After we decided on the date and venue for our wedding in Seoul, Korea, Liana and I started sending out electronic wedding invites to our friends and family. We wanted to make sure that everyone knew about our special day and that they had plenty of time to plan for it.
As we worked on the invites, we decided to send them to some of the people who were important to us, including my colleagues at work. I knew that my boss, Gregory, and his wife would be thrilled to receive an invite, so I made sure to include them on the list.
When I sent the invite to Gregory and his wife, I felt a sense of nervousness wash over me. I knew that they were both very busy people, and I was worried that they might not be able to attend. But I also knew that they were both very supportive of me and my work, so I was hopeful that they would be able to make it.
A few days later, I received an email from Gregory, congratulating me on my engagement and letting me know that he and his wife would be attending the wedding. I felt a sense of relief wash over me, knowing that they would be there to celebrate with us on our special day.
As the days passed, Liana and I continued to work on the wedding plans, making sure that everything was perfect for our big day. We were excited that Liana's friends and family would be able to attend the wedding in Seoul, and we couldn't wait to share this special day with everyone we loved.
Liana and I are so excited to share that our wedding will be held at the beautiful Grand Hyatt Seoul. The venue is set amidst a stunning landscape of mountains and the Han River, and we knew it was the perfect place to celebrate our special day.
The ceremony will be held outdoors in the hotel's garden, which is a lush and serene space that overlooks the city. We have hired a local florist to create stunning floral arrangements that will complement the natural beauty of the garden. We are also planning to have a traditional Korean tea ceremony as part of our wedding, which we know will be a special and meaningful moment for us and our guests.
Our vows will be a combination of traditional and personal elements. We have both written our own vows, which we will exchange during the ceremony. We have also decided to include a traditional Korean wedding vow, which symbolizes the joining of two families. We are both excited to share this special moment with our loved ones.
As for our wedding dresses, we have both chosen dresses that reflect our personal styles. Liana's dress is a stunning silk gown by the Korean designer, Lee Seung Jin. The dress features delicate lace and beading, and it is the perfect blend of modern and traditional elements. My dress is a simple yet elegant gown by the French designer, Celine. The dress is made of lightweight silk fabric, and it has a classic silhouette that I fell in love with.
We have also chosen a color scheme of blush pink and gold for our wedding, which will be reflected in the floral arrangements, the bridesmaid dresses, and the reception decor. We have decided to have the reception indoors, in the hotel's ballroom, which is a spacious and elegant space that can accommodate all of our guests.
We are thrilled to have our dear friend, Reverend Kim, officiate our wedding. Reverend Kim is a respected member of the Korean community, and we are honored to have him marry us.
We hope that our wedding will be a celebration of love, culture, and family, and we can't wait to share this special day with our friends and family.
Katerina takes out her phone and sends a message to her Aunt Jen. She writes, "Hey Aunt Jen, I hope you're doing well. Liana and I have some exciting news. We've decided to get married in Seoul, Korea in two months! We're so happy and we hope you can come to the wedding. We want to invite you and Natalie to come stay with us for a week in Seoul. We'll buy you both first-class plane tickets and take care of everything. Can't wait to see you both soon!"
Katerina puts down her phone and looks over at Liana, who is sitting next to her on the couch. She can't help but feel a little nervous about sending the message to Aunt Jen. She hopes that her aunt will be able to make it to the wedding and that she and Natalie will be able to come to stay with them in Seoul.
After a few minutes, Katerina's phone buzzes with a new message. She picks it up and sees that Aunt Jen has responded. The message reads, "Wow, congratulations Katerina and Liana! I'm so happy for you both. Natalie and I would love to come to the wedding and stay with you in Seoul. Thank you for the generous offer. We can't wait to see you both soon!"
Katerina lets out a sigh of relief and smiles at Liana. She's so excited that her Aunt Jen and cousin Natalie will be able to share on their special day. She can't wait to show them around Seoul and make some unforgettable memories together.
Liana takes a deep breath and picks up her phone to call her parents in Korea. She dials their number and waits anxiously for them to answer.
After a few rings, her mother picks up the phone. "Hello?" she says.
"Hi, Mom," Liana says nervously. "I have some news I wanted to share with you and Dad."
"What is it, honey?" her mother asks.
"Liana and I have decided to get married in Seoul, in two months," Liana says. "We want to invite you and Dad and my sisters and brother to the wedding. We're so excited and we hope you can all make it."
There's a long pause on the other end of the line. Liana can hear her mother whispering something to her father in Korean.
Finally, her mother speaks again. "Liana, we're so happy for you," she says. "We can't wait to meet Katerina and be there for your wedding. We'll do everything we can to make it happen."
Tears fill Liana's eyes as she thanks her mother. She knows that her parents and siblings have always been supportive of her, but she was still nervous about telling them about the wedding. Now she feels relieved and grateful that they will all be there to celebrate with her and Katerina.
Liana hangs up the phone and turns to Katerina with tears in her eyes. "My parents and siblings are all coming to the wedding," she says. "I'm so happy they're going to be there to celebrate with us."
Katerina smiles and takes Liana's hand. "I'm so happy too," she says. "This is going to be the best day of our lives."
Liana nods, still emotional from the conversation with her parents. "And you know what?" she says. "I'm so grateful that same-sex marriage is legal in Korea now. It makes our union possible and I'm so glad we get to celebrate our love in the place where my family is from."
Katerina squeezes Liana's hand and smiles at her. "Me too," she says. "It's amazing how far we've come and I'm so glad we get to be a part of this moment in history."
Liana leans in and kisses Katerina on the lips, feeling overwhelmed with love and gratitude. She knows that their wedding is going to be a beautiful celebration of their love and a testament to how far they've come as a couple and as a society.
