Chapter 18 - Love Will Heal

As Lily and Gami took a shower together, scrubbing each other's back, Lily spoke up. "Love, I know we have been so busy ever since we had to escape Muriel, but we don't need to hide from Muriel anymore. I miss my father and my two younger sisters. I'm sorry, how rude of me. You probably also miss your parents?" Lily asked, curious.

"You're right. Why don't we take the girls and our full security team and visit your family and mine?" Gami asked his wife.

Lily smiled, feeling excited. "That sounds like a great idea. I'll dress up our daughters in cute pink, purple, and white little dresses. And we can dress up as nobility," Lily said, feeling happy.

Gami smiled back at her. "I'll wear a light brown and white suit with a violet pinned to my breast pocket. And you can wear a long summer dress matching the colors of our daughters' dresses," Gami said, feeling excited.

Their security team awaited them outside as they all boarded the carriages and headed towards Muriel. "Beautiful, would you mind if we picked up my parents on the way to Muriel?" asked Gami.

"Of course not, love. Your family is mine too. Say, love, what do you say we move my dad and sisters to the capital?" asked Lily.

"We could build them a nice chateau on our property near our second mansion," Lily suggested.

"We have a second mansion and property in the capital?" Gami asked, surprised.

"Oh yes, love. I have been very busy!" exclaimed Lily.

__Time Passes__

Gami's parents are overjoyed to meet their granddaughters for the first time. They coo over Camille and Dahlia, remarking on how beautiful they are.

Lily and Gami smile as they watch their daughters bond with their grandparents. They can see the love and pride in Jessica and Cherno's eyes as they hold the girls.

As the carriage makes its way through the countryside, Gami's parents tell stories of their own upbringing and share their wisdom on marriage and parenthood. Lily and Gami listen attentively, grateful for the advice and guidance.

As they approach Muriel, Gami's parents point out the different landmarks and tell stories of their own experiences visiting this village. Lily and Gami are excited to show their daughters around the town and introduce them to new experiences.

As they pull up to the village entrance, Lily and Gami's parents are awed by the grocery store and the home they had built . "This is where we shall stay during this weekend," Gami says with a smile.

Lily and Gami show their parents to their quarters and settle them in for their stay. They promise to share more time together as soon as they pick up Lily's father and sisters.

Lily and Gami are relieved to see Lily's father and sisters, and they embrace each other warmly. They catch up on each other's lives and share stories of the past year.

As they made their way through the dimly lit bar, the flickering candles casting eerie shadows on the walls, Village Chief Castreim emerged from the shadows, his face twisted in anger. He accused them of using black magic and cheating death.

"How is it possible that you two are alive? We set you both on fire and watched the flames scorch you to death!" Castreim screamed, his voice echoing off the walls. The security team asked him if he was admitting to an assassination attempt on Lord Gami and Lady Lily. Castreim quickly backtracked, "Oh, uh no...they are the criminals! Arrest them!"

"We will do no such thing," ordered Head of Security Sam, his voice firm and commanding. "They are ordained by the monarch as the upholders of justice in the lands of Gehen and Muriel. Show respect and bow in the presence of Lord Gami and Lady Lily, scum!" His eyes blazed with fury as he glared at Castreim.

Castreim's face contorted with rage as the security team laid hands on him. He struggled and fought, but the guards were too strong for him. They dragged him away, his curses and threats echoing through the bar.

The rest of the patrons watched in stunned silence as the security team arrested Castreim and had him sent to the Whelo dungeon to rot for his crimes. The atmosphere in the bar changed, and the tension dissipated. People began to relax and talk in hushed tones.

Lord Gami and Lady Lily approached the bar, their faces grim. "We had hoped to avoid this," Lord Gami said, his voice low. "But it seems that Castreim has left us with no choice." Lady Lily nodded in agreement, her expression pensive.

Head of Security Sam stepped forward, his face stern. "We will increase security around the Muriel," he said. "And we will make sure that Castreim's followers do not cause any trouble."

The atmosphere in the bar slowly returned to normal, but the tension lingered. Everyone knew that Castreim's arrest was just the beginning of a long and difficult road ahead.

As Lord Gami and Lady Lily left the bar, they were joined by Lily's dad and two sisters. They walked through the dark streets, the only sound the soft crunch of their footsteps on the gravel.

When they arrived at Lord Gami's parents' home, that he had gifted them, they were greeted warmly. Lord Gami's parents were delighted to see them again and welcomed them with open arms. They all sat down in the living room, and Lord Gami and Lady Lily began to talk about the grocery and luxury business they had started in the capital sapphire, the kingdom Whelo, and in the villages of Gehen and Muriel.

They talked about their plans to continue expanding and trying to modernize the country. They discussed the challenges they had faced so far and the opportunities that lay ahead. Lord Gami's parents listened intently, nodding and asking questions.

As the night wore on, they all grew tired. Lord Gami's parents offered to let them stay the night, and they gratefully accepted. They all retired to their rooms, exhausted but happy.

Lady Lily and Lord Gami said their goodbyes to Gami's parents and climbed into the carriage with Lily's dad and two sisters. They were all excited to be heading to the capital sapphire, where they would surprise Lily's dad and two sisters with their new chateau.

As they rode along, Jasmine and Hannah chattered excitedly about the toddlers, asking Lady Lily all sorts of questions. Lady Lily smiled indulgently and answered as best she could.

Meanwhile, Lord Gami and Lily's father talked about business and the state of the country. They discussed the challenges they faced and the opportunities that lay ahead. They were both optimistic about the future and respected that Lily was determined to make a difference.

As they approached the city, the streets became more crowded and the noise level rose. They could hear the sounds of music and laughter coming from the market square, and they knew that there was a festival going on.

They decided to stop and check it out. They climbed out of the carriage and made their way through the crowds, stopping to sample food from the vendors and watch the street performers.

As they wandered through the market, they came across a group of musicians playing a lively tune. Lord Gami took Lady Lily's hand and led her into the center of the crowd. They began to dance, twirling and spinning to the music.

Lily's dad and her sisters watched with the toddlers in hand, laughing and clapping. They were all caught up in the moment, swept away by the joy and excitement of the festival.

After the festival.

Lily's father was overwhelmed with emotion as he looked at the beautiful chateau that his daughter had purchased for him and his two daughters. He couldn't believe that she had done something so generous and kind for them.

Lily's husband, Gami, handed him the keys and said, "Lily wanted to keep this a secret, but this here is your home! You and your daughters can live here, and we'll be just on the other side of those trees. Let's make sure we visit each other often!"

Lily's father was speechless. He hugged Gami and Lily, tears streaming down his face. "Thank you, thank you so much," he said, his voice choked with emotion.

Lily's sisters were just as surprised and grateful as their father. They hugged Lily and Gami, thanking them for their kindness and generosity.

After they said their goodnights and parted ways for the night, Lily's father sat in his new living room, looking around at the beautiful furnishings and decorations. He couldn't believe that this was his new home, and he felt so grateful to his daughter and son-in-law.

He knew that they were a close family, but he never imagined that they would do something so wonderful for him and his daughters. He felt blessed to have such a loving family, he fell asleep with the memories of his late wife and a smile on his face.
