The woman Astrid Holstein arrived home to her adoptive father pastor Odin Sonderburg, he was anything but kind, the old wrinkly man forced his religion on to the poor woman.
"Astrid when will you get married if you even can you are becoming to old" The pastor said to her while she walked into the living room "Father I am 18 I do not plan to marry anyone I feel as I am to young for such silliness" Astrid had said with disgust and took a seat across from her Father, right on time the butler appeared with her tea and she smiled warmly as she accepted it and looked back at her father changing that smile to a bitter frown.
As time went on she was soon to be found in her room reading a book on literature. A knock on her door could be heard " come in." she said coldly. "M'lady Pastor Odin request you to be at dinner" Frida a said Astrid looked up from her book and sighed "I will be there" I gave Frida a weak smile before the maid left.
Astrid walked down the empty halls the only thing giving it any kind of personality is the old paintings of stuck up relatives of her Father. She walks down the stairs to find her pet cat Salem at the bottom waiting for her it seems. Astrid had picked the cat up and placed him in his room for dinner and gave him a few pets, Salem purred at her touch but stopped as soon as she left. The woman walked into the bathroom and washed her hands and patted down any hairs that stuck up and sighed making her way towards the dinning room, she had dreaded seeing her Father. "Good evening Father" she bowed and took a seat closet to him. "evening child" he stated blankly. After a long period of waiting the food was ready to sever and eat, the chef came out with butlers dishes in hand. "dinner is served" The chef said as the butlers placed the dishes down and lifted the lids revealing the steam off of the Fårikål and a bowl of Lapskaus. Astrid looked at the mutton and smiled she thought it looked delicious and looks towards the chef "Thank you Alfred it looks delicious" Astrid told him. he bowed and smiled, Astrid took her napkin and placed it on her lap and took her fork and ate the cabbage first.
Darkness swept over the Village and manor indicating it was time for sleep Astrid's favorite time. The content lady went to the bathroom and took her tooth powder and a rough cloth and brushed her teeth till she was satisfied and headed into her room to get dressed. As she walked in her room Frida had stumbled over a box of shoes that were yet to be put up and Astrid had caught the frail woman and smiled "you must be more careful Frida I wouldn't want to lose my favorite maid" Astrid laughed and Frida rubbed the back of her neck in embarrassment "yes, sorry m'lady ill try to" she looked down "did you pick out my night gown Frida" Astrid smiled at her "Ah! yes Lady Astrid I did!"ys excited and picks up a light blue gown "perfect" Astrid looked at it happily and dismissed Frida.
Astrid soundly fell into a deep slumber dreaming of many things nothing but good. One could call it a Nightmare...A very unpleasant one that it felt real...
