General Pov
"Dammit who things get so bad." The captain of the southern base kujitenga slammed some reports on his desk. Things have not been going smooth for his sector lately.
His sector's main task was to gain necessary income for the organization, be it through stealing from banks or selling the organs of some of the people they've kidnapped on the black market. But over time things haven't been looking up.
They tried to stay on the low by getting homeless because nobody would really care what happened to them and their extremely high numbers. He thought at least Takhar wouldn't be on to them for a little more or just until they get just enough to build their army more. He didn't know who tipped them off but the heroes on the southern side had become even more vigilant and with the help of Takhar things got more difficult.
Sometime about a year ago one of the two-bit villains called Mute they hired got captured by the law and if his quirk wasn't so useful, he would have left him in jail. After he bailed him out Mute told him that the whole group was defeated by a child with an electricity quirk. He couldn't believe it of course but he knew the man wasn't lying.
He then ordered this man to find this child as he might have been useful to Kujitenge and molded it into a fine weapon for them. After sometime they tracked him down and sent a team along with mute to capture him but they came back empty handed and missing one member. They said the kid had a strong guardian with him who had some kind of invulnerability quirk who defeated the ones who retreated. He temporarily stopped the quest for the child as it would only waste resources and man power especially when his parental figure had a strong quirk to defend him.
He sighed through his ivory mask and thought about making proper schedules to which they can conduct their operations. He still had the hacking Villain Data port on contacts so maybe he could make use of him again. Suddenly the screen behind him switched on and when he turned, there were two other figures on the screen.
The first was a male dressed in the same military uniform but his mask was that similar to a rino than anything else. He was the captain of the base in the centre of Nyasaland and went by the code Tremor.
The next one also dressed in the same military uniform and his mask was carved for red in colour with black and in an irregular human shape. He was the captain of the base in the north of Nyasaland and went by the code name Dream-eater.
His codename was Divide.
Before any of them could say anything, a shadowy figure appeared in the centre of the video chat.
"General sir." All three Captains greeted with a bow.
"Captains, I'm not satisfied with how the operations are turning out." He addressed them, making them flinch. "Dream-eater, do you mind explaining to me how the deal with the villain group of Cackle went wrong yesterday."
"Sir we had a problem with four heroes and Takhar yesterday at the meeting place in Limbi. We managed to secure a partnership with them but the flesh containing information on the villain group of other strong villain groups in the devil's street was lost as the two Villains containing it were captured. I would have sent reinforcements for them but the number two hero was in the area." reported professionally though there was still fear present in his voice.
"Kuyaka hm." The general hummed he knew that the number two hero went to the rural parts of Blantyre from time to time but he was sure that the only reason she was there was that she must have taken interest in those special children he's heard about but so far, he only knows of the one with the mermaid like quirk and he had to see it was very impressive. He had made plans to look into her background and see if she would be of any use.
But when he saw Mr. Mwamba meaning that the four families were involved so they'll have to be extra careful.
"General sir, us in the south have been warned by our informant that the hero commission and some of the top heroes are having a meeting in 5 days. We're not entirely sure but we suspect the four families will be involved as well." Tremor reported.
"A meeting you say looks like it's our time to make our big moves." He said to the captains. "It's time to employ the disasters once again." When he said all the captains were beyond shocked.
"S-Sir persimmon to speak freely." The Dream-ester just nodded his head. "Sir, are y-you sure this is a great idea? The disasters are literally just unstable monsters who cause nothing but calamity won't getting aid cause us more harm than good. Plus, they vanished off the map years ago"
"During the time Kujitenge was at its peak the three out of the five-disaster worked for us and I know a perfect way I could get them on our side again." The general chuckled darkly as the screen image shifted to four silhouettes.
The first one was a large silhouette underwater having what looked like a large humanoid reptilian form and from what one can interpret with horns sticking out of its head, looked like it had shape claws and long spiky tail.
The next was that of a tall man holding a sort of staff sitting on a rock in a mountain area.
The third was too unclear to properly make out but all they saw was a destroyed landscape and someone or thing standing far in the dust.
Finally, was a silhouette of what seemed like an Amazonian woman with curly hair and a lion-like tail in a pouncing position showing off her claws. Unlike the other three images this one the eye colour was visible and there were golden slitted eyes on which displayed nothing but blood-lust.
"These will be our key components in regrowing our forces." The general stated. "Keep me informed if anything else is on play out." The general left
"Is-s this really the best idea?" Divider questioned
"Stop questioning the general captain Divider. Our cause is very low on manpower so if the general says that he has a suitable way to get those abominations on our side then I stand by him." Captain Tremor stated as he left and so did the centre captain.
Divider sighed at the new plan. It wasn't that he didn't believe in the general and knew some of the disasters worked for their cause before but they were mostly loose canons that could turn on them any minute. He didn't know how the previous leader convinced them to work with them.
But those monsters lived up to their name and he hoped their General was not making a mistake. He then had a flashback of a deranged lion woman standing over the corpses of dead Kujitenga troops and licking their blood.
In Blantyre
Chimwemwe Pov
It was our time to finally go home and so far, the only people who got on the field were Danelle and Vincent who got his yesterday with only the Mr. Mwamba and Mr. Mgaya when they went to an area which had been suffering from deforestation to regrow a lot of trees. There was also a small crowd and of course videos were taken and uploaded.
I had my eyes closed as I sat cross legged on my bed in the hotel room. Then I picked up multiple objects coming at me and dodged some and caught two with ease. I opened my eyes and saw pillows in my powers and while others were scattered with small ball shaped diamonds all over the room.
"How are you doing that?" Suiw asked me while Danelle and Lusungu who were helping through stuff at me looked surprised.
Vincent was just on the floor doing some pushups.
"Just a new way I use my quirk." I laid on the bed.
"Wow Chimzey you look like a kung fu master like from those old Chinese movies." Lusungu said in awe. "But how did you do that though?"
"You guys really want me to explain? Involves physics, you know."
"Chimwemwe, you are trying to say am stupid , remember I am one of the smartest people in our class." Suiw pouted.
"And I am going to be one of the best inventors in the world. A little physics is nothing." Lusungu puffed his chest.
"Well, I might be a B at best when it comes to physics. I can at least understand it a little." Danella stated.
Well in Suwi's case when it comes to sciences chemistry is her best while physics is her worst. But I did see their points though even though they are really smart they're just kids so maybe I'll dial back on the explanation.
"Okay I'll try to simplify it. you guys know the electromagnetic spectrum, right?" They all nodded. "Well as you all know my quirk lets me produce electricity and control magnetic objects thus giving me access to electromagnetic fields or my own personal emf. So, with that if I concentrate hard enough, I can access the other aspects of the spectrum but for now I can only use those with the lowest frequencies like radio and microwaves.
So, with that little trick I did I used the concept of microwaves by tapping into their part in the spectrum and emitting the microwaves through my emf spreading and returning responding waves making it my personal radar. But I have to do a lot of calculations to make sure the waves I'm emitting aren't overall dangerous so the voltage and current I need to apply is…"
"STOP STOP STOP!!" Suiw screamed.
"So, you guys get it." I smirked at them.
"Um, I guess." Danelle scratched her cheek.
"Get the gist of it I think." Suiw moaned.
"I got most of it but Chimzey, do you use math a lot when using your quirk?" Lusungu asked.
"More than you think." I sighed. Well, it's not like I do it all the time but I need to know how much voltage and current, especially the latter, is needed for a specific task. This helps avoid incidents like accidentally catching a body and since I have high electrical output, I often have to make great overall calculations.
I caught an incoming glass vase coming from behind.
"Wow I guess that ability of yours isn't a fluke." Vincent said as a brunch coming from his wood arm retracted back to him.
"Really nigga you through a glass vase to the back of my head." I gave him an annoyed look.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
Mr. Mgaya came into the room.
"Alright children, we will be leaving in 30 minutes so please get ready." He told them and left the room.
"You, I really wish they told us this trip would be the Vincent and Danella show, otherwise I would have stayed in Lusaka." Suiw complained.
"I thought You, Lusungu and I had fun when we went out yesterday." Danella raised her eyebrow.
"Yeah, I had a really great time at the arcade at crossroads!" Lusungu smiled brightly. "And thanks again for buying the tokens for me Suiw you're the best."
"Huff of course I am." Suiw puffed her chest.
"Hey speaking of which Chimwemwe where were you the whole yesterday? You of all people would have the most fun at an arcade." Danelle questioned.
"Oh, I found a great place for Wi-Fi so I played games online there all day." I shrugged.
"Of course, you did." Suiw gave me a deadpan expression while Danella chuckled, Lusungu was busy packing and Vincent rolled his eyes.
"This is the guy I lost to." He mumbled to himself.
After we packed, we passed the receptionist and when he saw me, he flinched away for some reason. Maybe he knows about my intrusive thoughts to sink my teeth in him skin pause. We all got into the car and left back to Lusaka but I picked up on something in the sky and I saw the number two hero just floating near the top of the hotel.
I've seen pictures, videos and merchandise of her so I know what she looked like. I gave an awkward wave which she returned and flew off as I got in the car.
End of pov
'So that's the final pillar I didn't meet yesterday?' Kuyaka thought to herself. 'But why does he remind me of one of those monsters?' Her mind flashed to a tall woman menacing golden eyes and a wicked blood thirsty grin.
