Chapter 5 - Momoka's Memorys...

Momoka was initially a very shy and introverted girl when she first encountered Sejin and Bethi. After the tragic loss of both her parents in a devastating accident, she was compelled to move in with her grandmother. When Momoka transferred to Sejin's school as a new student, she was met with avoidance and exclusion from her classmates, who found her demeanor gloomy and unsettling. However, Sejin was the first person to extend a hand of friendship towards her. Deeply touched by Bethi's past kindness and support during his own challenging times, Sejin felt a strong desire to do the same for Momoka, who found herself in a similar position of social isolation.

As time passed and Momoka spent more time with Sejin and Bethi, she gradually started to open up and rediscover her cheerful nature. But as she observed Sejin's unwavering affection for Bethi, she came to the painful realization that her own feelings for him had blossomed too late. On a quiet afternoon, while the two of them found solace on the school rooftop, Momoka mustered the courage to ask Sejin the question that had been weighing on her heart.

"Sejin, um... you like Bethi, right? But She is using it for her leverage." Momoka tentatively inquired, her gaze fixed on the sky.

Sejin embraced her gently, letting out a small sigh before responding. "I know," he admitted, his voice tinged with a mixture of resignation and understanding.

Momoka felt a jolt of surprise, never expecting Sejin to acknowledge the truth so readily. Curiosity sparked within her, compelling her to delve deeper. "So why?" she pressed, her voice filled with genuine curiosity.

Sejin, wearing a bittersweet smile, replied, "You know... you understand if you truly love someone."

Momoka couldn't help but feel a pang of both pain and warmth in her heart upon hearing those words. She knew exactly what Sejin meant, and yet, she couldn't help but silently reprimand him for his obliviousness. "Don't smile like that, dummy," she murmured under her breath, her voice barely audible.

Now sitting aboard an airplane, Momoka found herself lost in her thoughts. As the memories of her past conversation with Sejin flooded her mind, tears welled up in her eyes. She stared at Sejin's peaceful sleeping face, witnessing the trails of tears that glistened at the corners of his eyes. Overwhelmed by a surge of emotions, Momoka whispered to herself, "I will make you happy, Sejin... even if it hurts me."

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Momoka, Bethi silently observed the scene, her heart heavy with a mix of emotions. Witnessing the depth of Momoka's love for Sejin, she couldn't help but feel a sense of resignation and realization wash over her.

"She was the one who truly deserved his love," Bethi whispered to herself, her voice laced with both admiration and regret. Questioning her own actions and reflecting on the help Momoka had offered her during her darkest times, Bethi couldn't help but wonder why Momoka had come to her aid despite the hatred and animosity she had shown towards her.

As the airplane soared through the sky, the complexities of these intertwining emotions echoed in the hearts of each individual involved, leaving them with unanswered questions and a profound understanding of the sacrifices made in the name of love.
