At that time, Sengoku didn't seem to pay much attention to this matter. He thought that Crocodile, who responded to the summons, was just a step behind.
But now, thinking about it, how could this guy appear together with the Straw Hat Pirates and the escaped prisoners from Impel Down?
Sengoku raised an eyebrow. Could it be...
At the same time, Robin, who was in the live broadcast, also thought of this point along with Sengoku.
Most people are most concerned about seeing familiar faces in the footage, so she also remembers the scene when Crocodile appeared.
Considering that Crocodile's plan should be closing in recently, and the Summit War should still take some time to happen.
That means if Crocodile really succeeded in finding Pluton, he should have found it before the Summit War.
And if he found Pluton, how could he possibly appear with Luffy and the other prisoners from Impel Down?
Unless... Crocodile failed. He was captured by the Marines and imprisoned in Impel Down. After Luffy caused chaos in Impel Down, Crocodile escaped along with the other prisoners and they appeared together at the Summit War.
If that's the case, everything makes sense!
"Answer: Crocodile failed."
"Correct answer," luo ke said. "Crocodile's actions in Alabasta attracted the attention of the Alabasta royal family. Nefertari Vivi, the daughter of Cobra, decided to investigate the mastermind behind these events.
However, she discovered and infiltrated the Baroque Works, uncovering Crocodile's conspiracy.
During this pLuo keess, she encountered the Straw Hat Pirates, who had just entered the Grand Line. At Vivi's request, Luffy agreed to help her defeat Crocodile.
The Straw Hat Pirates then arrived in Alabasta and defeated Crocodile, crushing his conspiracy.
By the way, it was here that Luffy met Ace, who was pursuing Blackbeard, and gave Luffy the Vivre Card that saved his life.
Crocodile was then imprisoned in Impel Down by the Marines."
This answer relieved people. Finally, that guy didn't succeed; otherwise, the world would be in trouble.
However, what surprised them was that it wasn't the Marines or the World Government who saved the world, but the Straw Hat Pirates. Pirates?!
This left them in a state of mixed feelings. The Seven Warlords, under the World Government, were doing evil deeds, while the real pirates were defeating the villains. What had happened to this world?
At the Marine Headquarters, Sengoku and the others initially breathed a sigh of relief, but then their expressions turned grim. They never expected that it would be Luffy and his crew who defeated Crocodile.
Sengoku couldn't help but look at Karp, who seemed particularly pleased, as if he was proud of his grandson.
Sengoku could only sigh helplessly. Even though the pirates had taken down the Seven Warlords and resolved the crisis in Alabasta, they couldn't be happy about it. Being saved by pirates...what did that even mean...
Meanwhile, Crocodile's face suddenly changed. He had actually failed, losing to that brat!
How was that possible?
He was Crocodile! How could he lose to a newly set sail brat?
And this was only the Luffy who had just entered the Grand Line, not the Luffy who had trained with Rayleigh for two years.
Crocodile stood there dumbfounded, his disbelief turning into anger. He absolutely didn't believe that this would be his end. He would definitely obtain Pluton and achieve his ideal!
He refused to believe this!
...
At this moment, Luo ke posed the next question, "Question: Which faction did Nico Robin join after this?
There are four options here: A, CP9,
B, MC. Straw Hat Pirates,
D. Revolutionary Army.
Time limit: one minute, starting now."
Upon hearing these four options, Robin was slightly taken aback. She never expected these options to be presented.
CP9?
The secret organization of the World Government, specialized in dealing with their enemies and intelligence work.
Would she join such a faction?
They would kill her, without a doubt.
As for the Marines, she didn't even need to think about it. They were aligned with the World Government. If they caught her, she would be doomed. They probably wouldn't even send her to Impel Down.
That left only the Straw Hat Pirates and the Revolutionary Army.
The Straw Hat Pirates were the ones who defeated Crocodile, her former boss. In theory, they should be enemies.
As for the Revolutionary Army... she hadn't even had any contact with them. Why were they included as an option?
Robin was perplexed.
She fell into deep thought, while Sengoku and the Five Elders were stunned. They had actually heard the option of the Revolutionary Army.
If Nico Robin, who could decipher the history poneglyphs, were to join the Revolutionary Army, it would not be good news for them.
These individuals were already trying to overthrow the World Government, and the historical poneglyphs contained not only the hidden history they wanted to conceal but also the coordinates of Laugh Tale and the location of the Ancient Weapons.
If the Revolutionary Army learned about it, they would become even more difficult to deal with.
No, they couldn't let Nico Robin fall into their hands. They had to seize her before they did.
...
Robin was contemplating which option was more likely: the Straw Hat Pirates or the Revolutionary Army.
She didn't know much about the Revolutionary Army, except that they were a group aiming to overthrow the World Government, seemingly unrelated to her.
On the other hand, she was more familiar with the Straw Hat Pirates, albeit through broadcasts and images.
This group of people didn't seem like typical pirates such as Crocodile or Blackbeard. They were relatively good-natured pirates, or at least that was what she gathered from what she had heard. They defeated the Arlong Pirates and saved Cocoyasi Village, and they also defeated Crocodile and saved Alabasta.
If they were such a group of pirates, she might get along with them. She did want to find a group of trustworthy companions.
Would the Straw Hat Pirates be the companions she was looking for?
Robin thought to herself.
She considered her goal of understanding history, which required her to search for scattered historical texts around the world. The Revolutionary Army clearly couldn't help her with that.
As for the Straw Hat Pirates, their captain, Monkey D. Luffy, wanted to become the Pirate King, and in order to achieve that, the knowledge of history was indispensable.
If she based her decision on that, then she would choose the Straw Hat Pirates over the Revolutionary Army.
With that in mind, Robin looked at luo ke and said, "Answer: C, Straw Hat Pirates."
"Correct answer," luo ke replied. "Nico Robin ultimately joined the Straw Hat Pirates.
Although Nico Robin was the vice-president of Baroque Works, she was merely being used by Crocodile, and he held her life in his hands. In reality, she never intended to reveal the whereabouts of Pluton, the ancient weapon she discovered."
Upon hearing this truth, Crocodile looked up at Nico Robin on the screen, glaring at her. He couldn't believe that she had planned to betray him all along!
"After deciphering the historical poneglyphs, Nico Robin planned to assassinate Crocodile but failed. She was poisoned by Crocodile's scorpion venom, and when her life was in danger, she lost her will to live, thinking about her tragic life.
Just as she was about to accept her impending death, Luffy defeated Crocodile, and the Straw Hat Pirates' ship doctor created an antidote that cured Robin of the scorpion venom.
After gaining her freedom from Crocodile, Nico Robin had nowhere else to go and chose to stay with the Straw Hat Pirates, traveling with them and gradually becoming part of their crew."
Upon hearing this outcome, people were surprised. They never expected Nico Robin to take such actions.
Initially, they were somewhat angry with Robin for aiding Crocodile and being involved in his deeds in Alabasta, even helping him search for Pluton. Although they knew she was coerced, they still held some resentment, believing that she might as well have been killed by Akainu, as her existence only added trouble to the world.
But they never expected Nico Robin to attempt to assassinate Crocodile at the last moment and, more importantly, refuse to reveal the whereabouts of Pluton.
Many fell into silence upon hearing this, feeling guilty and remorseful for their previous thoughts.
In the end, Nico Robin was just a pitiable person.
None of this was her fault; the blame lay with those who wanted to exploit her abilities for their own sinister purposes.
She was always the one being forced into these situations.
Ohara was hunted down, and Alabasta was manipulated. Ultimately, she just wanted to understand history, but this world didn't allow her that dream.
If they put themselves in Nico Robin's position—losing their homeland at the age of eight and being hunted for twenty years—it would be difficult for them to maintain the same values as her. They might have succumbed to corruption, fully aligning themselves with Crocodile and seeking revenge against a world that constantly pressured them.
It wasn't her who was wrong; it was this world.
