Adin was awoken by a familiar, rhythmic clanging of his old alarm clock. He gently turned off the trusty peace of machinery, still lying in his bed, muttering to himself.
"Uuugh... what day is it... isn't it a bit... *yawn* early...?"
His eyes shot up as the realization hit him, and crawled out of his bed with a jolly smile. Today was a big day, not only for him but his friends, too: The Freefall Crew. Adin Severich was in fact a freelancer of sorts, doing any kind of mercenary or odd jobs, along with some folks he grew close during the years, whom he glady would describe as his found family. He began to get dressed in front of his mirror in his small room, he glanced at himself in the mirror. He was by all account an alright looking, large sturdy guy, his most notable fearures were his orange eyes contrasting his black short hair and stubbly facial hair, along his scar riddled left arm. Dressed and geared up, he proudly nodded at his reflection, and rushed out of his room. Adin entered the the makeshift hallway of the warehouse they were living in, and quickly made his way to the kitchen section, almost bumping into Raver Heardan. The muscular man smirked at Adin, brushing his red ponytail off his shoulder. "Mate, mate, what's the rush?"
"Red..." Adin sighed, as he tried to bring the coffee machine back to life pumping it's igniter lever, before answering his childhood friend. "It's THE DAY Red! Our biggest payday yet! All that money for a courier job..."
Raver's eyes widened a little, as the realisation came to him too. "Oh shit you're right, that's today?!"
"Uh-huh..." nodded Adin, as enthusiasm seeped back into him, now gulping down his fresh cup quickly. "...speaking of: Where the others at?"
Raver put a finger on his chin. "Uhhh... Nia is off in the city I think? Ewis just left for potion shopping, you just missed each other!"
"Okay... right... so we're pulling this off with the two of us?"
The two grinned at each other with knowing eyes. Ewis probably would have advised against this heavily, but these two knuckleheads were left to their own devices and exited the building. The Morning breeze hit their faces, as the armor-clad men stood outside the warehouse, which beared a "FREEFALL CREW: Mercs and contracts" sign bolted onto it's forefront. Adin dawned his usual light armor paired with a tactical jacket,a long autorifle was slinged over his shoulder. Red proudly boasted a full set of slightly dented knight armor with a harness over it, filled with small pouches, since he didn't have the luxury of pocket's, like his friend.
"No car today, eh?" Groaned Reaver, as he handed a small, chained up chest to Adin.
"Oh don't be like that Mr. Ex-Royal Knight!" He grinned at his friend, slapping the package under his arm. "We'll take a Landstrider to the Bardlake Mountains. Then we'll deliver this by hand. The terrain is two rough for four wheels."
"Aight, fair enough..."
With that, the pair departed, striding down the streets of the lakeside streets of Baystone.
After an excruciatingly long Landstrider ride, they got off at Bardlake station. The pair watched, as the twelwe-wheeler land train slowly rolled away, their attention shifted to the breathtaking, endless alps in front of them, covered in greenery and monolithic boulders: Bardlake Mountains.
"Well damn..." muttered Adin, as the two stared at the vistas before them, awestruck and star-eyed.
"Alright... Red, ready for some hiking?"
Adin glanced at his friend, who was looking hopefully at the village behind them, Bardlake Ridge.
"Oooooor we could just... y'know... check out the local tavern first!"
Raver received a flat, judgemental gaze from his friend. "Red. You can romance up the ladies when we are done. Now c'mon! We got a job to finish, and preferably today."
The two slowly started scale the enormous landmark, skipping through brooks, following various trails. Adin skipping in front, mesmerised by the scenery. Raver, however is staying a bit further back, a bit miffed that his attempt to break his seemingly eternal status as a hopeless was postponed by his childhood buddy once more.
"Hooooly hell, the trip was worth it just for this hike... right Red?... ... ...Red?"
Adin stopped in his tracks and spun raround. Raver was nowhere to be seen. Ever since they break off from the mountainside trail and headed inside deeper the forest, they lost each other, He tough to himself, looking around frantically.
"Reeeeed! Raaaveer!" He cried out, clutching the package and unholdstering his rifle.
After what feels like aimless wandering for long minutes, strange noises hit Adin's ears, reminiscent of feminine laughter. Unsure, he headed deeper into the foliage, inside a crater shaped basin in the mountainside. With a slightly relieved exhale, he stumbled out into a clearing. The barren rocks and uneven terrain didn't inspire much confidence tough. Adin gripped his weapon tighter, and headed towards the noises, coming from behind boulders at the centre of the clearing. Trees were surrounding the center, the boulders were engraved, almost looking like shaped by hand, on closer inspection. He still couldn't understand the noises, though to him it sounded like a meeting or celebration of sorts. With a gulp, he turned the corner.
The moment Adin stepped out from the cover of the boulders, his eyes blurred, and sudden nausea came over him. He fell back, the only thing he saw was female siluettes. He tried to sit up in a panic, even tough his senses numbed more and more by the second. Pain came over him, then a strange fuzzy feeling. Adin almost gained his footing back reality, but he fell back, crying out in horror. He felt as if his whole body stared to contort and shift, bones creaking and shrinking, muscles trying to catch up with the changes. He crawled towards a nearby rock to lean against, and looked down at his body, fearing the worst.
"W-... ...-w-wha-..." A strange, genderless blurt escaped his throat, as a pair of small, but swelling breasts greeted him on his chest. 'But how? and why can I see them?' The question came naturally in his head. He come to realise later that his frame simply became smaller, but his mind was still locked in shock, focusing on other matters. He felt his body weight shift. Bones creaked as his stature shortened. Hip bones slowly made their ways outwards. Not even fat and muscle were spared, Adin felt his thighs and butt thicken, rubbing against his trousers. He tried to scream, but all that escaped him was a feminine moan. He grabbed at his crotch frightened, only to touch a flattened out surface. 'Oh... oh god... this has to be a dream... a halucination' Adin tought, as he fell to his side, feeling a new hole and tunnel of sorts forming inside him, getting ever deeper. The only thing he saw were his new breasts, which now became the size they blocked his view to his body, before passing out, darkness enveloping his mind.
