Chereads / THE CEO'S BILLIONAIRE EX WIFE / Chapter 2 - CHAPTER TWO

Chapter 2 - CHAPTER TWO

She sorts for freedom

She was shaking. Seeing Antoine not being remorseful at all for being so cold towards her made her wanna cry more.

How can he cheat on her so boldly. In their bedroom. Does she amount to nothing in his life. Is the hate for her running so deep in his veins.

Why he married her? She married him for only one reason and that's because of LOVE. She loved him so much and when she saw him four years ago, in a club drinking his life away and crying. She instantly loved him.

When they met two days later, she happened to sit by his side as he told his heart breaking love story. She never paid attention because if she did, she would've known that it's because of Stacey.

All she cared about was to marry him, be a good wife to him and make him love her. He married her. Four years with him was so fruitless. She began to gather her mind. There's only one way of out this whole mess and that's the way she's creating now.

She wiped her tears. "Why won't I hit her? Because she's your ex but she should know her place, this is my husband's house and if she can't respect anyone, she should respect my room!"

"What?" Antoine wasn't expecting her to be so bold. He thought she was going to cower and apologize just like she always does.

"Yeah, I know why you married me. You don't need to remind me about it tonight too. I'm so done with all your unnecessary talks on that."

"Who are you talking back to?" He asked glaring at her. Maybe trying to intimidate her into shutting up or maybe to apologize but she won't stop talking.

"I'm talking back at you." She suddenly grabbed his large shoulder, she was slowly losing her mind. "You." She began to hit his chest. "I'm talking back at you jerk! I wasted my four years with you. A total waste! I so much hate to see you right now!" She was screaming. On top of her voice.

He held her arms. "Come to your senses, Amélie, I won't have married you if I had Stacey by my side. "

"I know. That's why it's a waste for me. For four years Antoine. Were you this beast-like. Your family treated me like trash but I never cared.

You treat me like trash but I never cared. I always hoped that someday, you will look at me differently. But looking at you now, you're my worst nightmare."

"What?" Her mother-in-law chipped in as she happened to have come back earlier, hearing their noise, she came over and how insulting her son's wife is.

She was raising her hand to hit Amélie as she spoke. "Why are you talking to my son like that? You don't even..."

She interrupted her. "Shut up woman! And that hand of yours shouldn't touch me, else I will make sure to bury you alive!!" She screamed leaving mother and son to be so shocked.

"Antoine!! Divorce this woman immediately!!!" Was the next thing the mother said.

"No need, I have already decided on that, the moment I talked back at you Antoine. I am going to divorce you." She snapped pushing Antoine aside and getting into the room.

Her eyes met Stacey, who was on the bed looking at her boldly. She can leave the house but that woman on her bed pissed her off so much.

She turned to Antoine and he still stood looking at her. "You never touched me even once for four years. But you can freely touch a witch like her." She said jumping into Stacey and pushing her down from her bed.

Antoine rushed in. "Don't touch Stacey! You must've gone crazy Amélie, else, you won't be so disrespectful towards me." He said helping Stacey to her feet.

"Why would I accord you some respect? You're not worthy of my respect. " She said and went to her closet.

Harsh reality hit her. Everything hurts. She had a separate closet from her husband's, separate rooms, separate everything!! They never shared anything together.

She was such a fool! She was staring at her closet and trying so hard not to cry. But one word from her mother-in-law made her want to pack up faster.

"That witch! I told you not to marry her in the first place."

The witch should leave the house. What's her use in this house? A slave? That's the role she have been playing since she came into this family!!! In her next life, she won't even wish her enemy a home like the Guillaume.

She grabbed her clothes, dumping them into her bag hurriedly. She was so angry. So made up. Nothing was gonna make her spend another day in this house.

She will stop breathing if that ever ends up happening. Soon, she was done. She grabbed her bag and wheeled it to the door and then the stairs.

When she came into the living room, all the faces of the family greeted her, like a nightmare, all the faces she hated so much was glaring at her.

She ignored everyone. She was ready to latch at anyone who tried anything funny with her. She's done with the Guillaume's madness. She's done with everyone!

"Hey stop there! I heard your brave stories upstairs. Did that really happen?" It was Louise speaking as she advanced towards Amélie, who was almost nearing the exit door.

"Wow! You have gotten bolder than I think."

Amélie stopped walking, she won't let that sentence slide, she needed to correct her before she stepped out of this house forever.

"Louise, you got it all wrong. I've always been this bold but I think I've been unwell since four years ago. My twenty sixth birthday made me realize how foolish I've been all this time."

"What?" She didn't see that coming. "Amélie." She called her name in a surprised manner.

"Yes. I'm Amélie. That's my name and I'm sorry for being such a fool for your brother. I won't have picked him and wasted my four years with him if not that I'm so foolish."

Louise was getting angry. She touched her shoulder while she swiped her hand away. "Antoine will definitely divorce you. I will make sure that he does!"

"No, I'm the one divorcing him. As I'm leaving this place. I'm preparing the papers, you don't have to worry him too much."

That's when Antoine appeared, their eyes met. Amélie's eyes burned with pain and hurt. Why did she hold out for so long? She should've trashed him even before all this went so far?

But she had one last thing to say to him. "Antoine, you never celebrated my birthday for once! Today was even my birthday but I guess you don't know and you never cared to know." She said shaking her head as she dragged her bag out of the door after she opened it.

She was really saying goodbye to this family forever. Nothing, nothing in this life will ever make her come to this home again.
