Chapter 16 - Chapter 14: Message for Vengence

In the afternoon a trial was held for Fukushū who had been 'imprisoned' till further notice. The noblemen, and court officials disputed and argued over each other about what to do with him. Their vote held half and half, one half wanted to keep him and punish him under the pretense to 'hold him accountable for all the damages Saga had caused' but in reality, it would just end up becoming corrupt propaganda that would curry the rage-filled within the people. The other half also wanted him to be punished, and didn't seek any intentional malice, or harbored ill will toward him. Grandma wanted everyone to be on the same page as her during this trial, and so she told the factions of officials and noblemen the true masterminds behind this attack. Demons, enemies of mankind as a whole, they're wicked in everything they do and cause harm to every life form they come in contact with. They feed off of the negative emotions and feelings of creatures and control them in a way that spreads hate across nations. This act of chaos leads them into becoming stronger more powerful beings than what they once were. They evolve into 'chaotic entities' and from there, the cycle of their evolution continues till they become an omnipotent being. Grandma's final verdict was no surprise to me as I know how kind and caring her nurturing heart is.

Fukushū was to be punished for the crimes he did against Solitude. His main punishment was to serve under the king and live life as a war prisoner. Knowing that he was under the influence of a demon his sentence was heavily lightened to the point that it basically made him a free man. Not a lot of people we're happy about this decision but held their tongues… The trial finally adjourned but the day was far from over. In the evening Grandma took me to a meeting that planned the needed discussion of Saga. Along with Yaovilda and Sow, Fukushū, Prince Mildred and some other high ranking officers attended the meeting.

The discussion was held on a table filled with little pieces of metal that pinned places on a large and long sheet of paper. Of course, I knew it was a map but my spidey senses don't allow me to see each and every individual slit and markings made on the paper. If only I still had Eyeball with me then I'd be able to use his eyes as mine…

I was so heavily concentrated on thinking about Eyeball and the other beings that are inside me that I completely dozed off and forgot about the reason why I was there in the first place.

"Sir Fukushū won't be going on this attack," Grandma said.

"Wait, What?" I thought as I turned my head in disbelief.

"Grandma," I asked, "Wasn't the reason you wanted to keep Fukushū because he would be of great help to us?" I questioned as Sow came around the table giving out drinks to the others. I thought of the many reasons as to why she didn't want him to be on the battlefield. The room was silent but I could sense that Grandma was hesitant in giving an answer.

"Truthfully Steamy," Grandma said raising her cup in a gesture for more drinks "I wanted to keep Sir Fukushū to protect you."

"But why? I dont need protecting when I'm going to stay beside you right? You're also going to Saga so why do we need Fukushū to stick with me?"

Awhina grinned, but not a happy grin, as her face bottled up with anger.

"You're not going to the battlefield Steamy." She said gripping the cup in her hand.

"But why!?" Steamy questioned, she thought of all the possibilities of how they could win the war, and wanted to explain why having her and Fukushū would guarantee a victory but before she could mutter a word Awhina slammed her cup on the table making some of the metal pieces fall additionally, her cup shattered into glass pieces witched sparkled into the glittering moonlight.

"How can I send a child to a battleground? A war!?" Awhina yelled.

"And what's worst is that it's my own granddaughter who wants to fight the most!" Her anger quickly silenced all of the side conversations that where happening in the room. Everyone's attention was now on me and Grandma.

"Are you some type of machine? A weapon of war and mass destruction!? Steamy, I want you to be free from the trauma of war." She placed her hand on my shoulder "You of all people should know what it's like to fight. You always lost something"

No words dared to utter another sentence. What she said her me, but it was true.

"Steamy, I'm going to send you over to another place, a place far from here. It'll be save and you won't have to worry about suffering ever again. That is my final desision."

"But!"

"No but's! End of discussion." Awhina said as she quickly turned the meeting back on plan.

That night I went to bed restless. I couldn't understand why grandma didn't want me with her. Was I not good enough for her? Or did I do something wrong? All these thoughts ran endlessly amuck in my mind. Falling asleep I could swear I heard a voice deep in the back of my soul and when I opened my eyes, I was gone. I was in an unffimilar place, I've never felt or seen this place before, but it was beautiful. The ground was filled with an endless field of beautiful red flowers. The petals caved in; in a cup-like fashion and in the center was a crown full of over a thousand seed.

I was laying on a petal bed of various different flowers, a top a hill that led a path down to a creek. A bridge ran across the creek and led a split path, on the right path was a city build around a great tree. On the left path led a trail into the mountains. "Step, Step, Step" My legs moved forwards toward the city and my mind was filled with thoughts that can only be descibled as curiosity towards the human city…

I wasn't even half a step over the trail towards the city when a loud roar filled my body with fear. Suddenly I was transported into a dimly lit cave and was faced to face with a giant red dragon!

"... Pyrothar..!" (Pyro·thar) The dragon said angery, his voice sent trembles down my spine.

And though I was fearful I spoke back to the great dragon.

"Father I-"

"You… disobey me… son…" the dragon said in a long and roughly disappointed tone.

"I'm sorry father," The little dragon spoke back, "I was just so curious about the human's city." He replied covering his body with his wings. The rage from the red dragon crumbled the earth at his feet, and as the young dragon fearfully curls up into a ball the red dragon spoke again.

"I told you not to run off past the creek! Did I not!?"

"Yes! Yes you did father!" I responded sharply, I understood that in this dream I took over the role of this red dragons kin.

"Then do not disappoint me again." He said as he transformed from a dragon to human.

"Polymorph Is so cool!" I thought to myself. "If I could learn how to polymorph too then father would take me out into the human cities too."

"Not in a million years" The red dragon said, "I have to leave for a little while, stay with Aureliath" (Are·el·ee·ith)

"Yes father." I said obediently. I was thirsty so I went to the pool of clean fresh water that was in the cave and drank it. It was there that I got a good glimpse of who Pyrothar reall was. An orange dragon..? In my knowledge of mystical and exotic creatures (that Grandma had me study), I never read about orange dragons. Pyrothar must've been a real special dragon.

.

I found mother resting on her nest keeping her egg warm.

"Mother, mother" I joyfully called to her waiting for a response.

"What is it Pyrothar?" She asked as she raised her head to great me.

"When is sister going to hatch? Do you know her name?" I buried her with questions which she payed no mind to, giving short responses it was clear to me that she was tired. Eventually I got tired and laid right next to her.

"Pyrothar" she spoke, unlike father her tone of voice is sweet and memerizing. I could listen to her voice all day long and never get tired of it.

"The name of your soon to be sister is Zaralith, like your father and I, she will become a solid and strong dragon, majestic and powerful, shimmering in the sunlight just like you."

"Wow" I thought, an imazing name fitting for my soon to be sister.

I shouted with joy and snuggled deep between the egg and Aureliath.

"Rest well mother I will protect you from any enemy who dares to walk in this lair!"

She laughed and put her head down to rest, though I was filled with spirit and out of boredom I left for the entrance of the cave. I walked past the pool of water and saw the light of the sun ever so getting bigger and bigger and bigger till it looked like a white star so bright that I could feel the heat of it's radiant light. I was in awe, something like this shouldn't be happening outside of the lair. Now at the entrance of the lair my whole body shivered as if father was scolding me. I wanted to run outside to see what this light was but when I realized it was dangerous it was already too late. A radiant beam of light, a huge ball of fire that felt like a small sun raised the gound up high and demolished the whole mountain side. A giant crater the size of a human capital city replaced the home of the flowers, even ther river side creek was gone. I was now transported outside Pyothar's body and into my own conscience, without having a vessel to control I watched the story unfold…

Countless soldiers in the name of slaying evil creatures bregan charging at Aureliath, an in an uneven battle a hundred thousand to one, they slew the 'evil' metallic dragon in under three hours and captured Pyothar and his sister as he and the egg weren't affected by the blast of holy heat. As the humans scattered in joy of of slaying a dragon they took their leisure time arguing about who gets the riches shares of dragon treasure.

Suddenly I was transported into the body of the red dragon, pain urged my body as I saw the bodys of ten other dragons surrounding me dead on the floor. With haste I flew to the lair as I felt the soul of Aureliath calling out to me. When I got to the now destroyed lair I watched hidden in the air as humans stepped over the weakened body of my Aureliath. I watched them sing praizes over the dying body of my Aureliath whom they hadn't even killed, they stepped over her body, they kicked and laughed over the riches and gold they'd think they'd have.

I̵ ̷w̶a̵s̴ ̷o̶u̸t̸r̸a̷g̶e̴d̵ ̶.

My mine became the red dragons mind my anger became his anger, and my will became his will.

"K̵i̵l̸l̴ ̷t̸h̴e̵m̴,̴ ̵K̷i̸l̵l̵ ̶t̵h̶e̵m̸ ̷A̸L̷L̵!̸!̸!̸"

Without a second thought I was on the ground taking the lifes of every single person I could get my hands on. They screamed with fear and yelled out in terror.

"That's- Thats Ignissothraxe!" one yelled as his head soon came flying off. Over the thousand of hundreds of dead bodies that where already there, there must've been another two hundred thousand added. I didn't let anyone escape. Night soon fell on the earth and I kneeled down to Aureliath who in human form, breathing her last breath.

"Please my love, find them- Find them!" Aureliath called, she grabbed my arms and hangs gasping for air.

"They took our children, please find them!" She yelled as she drew her last breath.

"I̶"̶L̶L̸ ̸K̴I̴L̷L̷ ̷T̴H̵E̴M̶ ̶A̴L̷L̴!̵!̶!̷" Ignissothraxe said has he got up from the ground. Aureliath's body faded away like flower petals in flowing off from the wind.

Once again, rage entered my mind and I was engulfed in a world of flames, my body's conseneince was burning from the flames, I could feel my real body tense up and shake from the intense heat.

Surrounded by fire, I saw the face of the red dragon, Ignissothraxe appear in an astral body right in front of me.

"K̶I̴L̵L̴ ̴T̴H̶E̴M̸ ̷A̷L̶L̷!" he shouted.

"T̸H̴O̸S̸E̶ ̸F̷R̶O̵M̵ ̷S̴A̶G̸A̶ ̸K̴I̴L̵L̴ ̶T̴H̵E̷M̵ ̷A̴L̵L̴" He repeated as he fire soon cunsoomed my conseneince…

I woke up from the dream with burns on my body. Grandma was sitting next to me again and I was fully rapped from head to toe in bandages.

"Grandma?" I questioned.

"Steamy!" She yelled, she tone of voice told me how worried she was for me.

"Grandma… I have to go to saga." I said to her, I saw how her tone of voice went from joyfully thankful that I'm alive to anger in just a few seconds, it reminded me about how Pyrothar was scared of his father but Grandma didn't yell or scold me like how Ignissothraxe did.

"Tell me at breakfast." She said calmly, "let's get you an examination first though"

I laughed, "Yes Grandma!"
