Isabella's POV
Sleep was far gone from me by now and the night was turning out to be quite interesting. I was just learning about creatures that I would never have thought existed. And to think that there was a possibility that my Drey could be one of them made my heart beat faster in a way that it never had before.
It filled me with such a mixture of excitement and dread that the latter seemed to outweigh the former. It was thrilling and terrifying at the same time, but I could see the denial in his eyes. I was convinced that Andreas knew the truth, but he was just refusing to admit it to himself. He obviously didn't want it to be true and I felt bad for him.
