Chapter 54 - [Firefly]

Countless stars decorated like priceless diamonds above the celestial hold, the waning moon like the last glimpse of expressive beauty.

Beneath the heavenly cellar, a perpetual ambition was positioned. Indirect, at random the smiles would say.

Above or below the mass graves, there was no possibility of determining it. He lived and died in the chests of countless living beings.

Carrying on the cold night wind, or caressing a random man's window with a random tree stump.

Luminescent like the stars, or dull like the last ashes of a fathom.

It was early morning, where the light was insufficient and danger was around. The knives were sharp, arranged upright like spears.

"What a beautiful firefly." Federick said in a sigh. He enjoyed the freshness outside, while observing his dark garden only illuminated by occasional fireflies and moonlight.

His body was naked to the touch of the night. His face clean of doubts, completely illuminated.

Illuminated by moonlight...

During the last few days, doubts had been planted in his heart, which he had to resolve as early as possible. Therefore, his personal schedule was quite busy.

"Imagine that one day you want to be a free living being, without worldly pretensions... An ignorant being." He commented quietly with mockery.

That was Federick, who enjoyed his nakedness under the moonlight in an early morning without secondary pretensions.

With that, he finally fulfilled the purpose of why he was awake at these late hours; drink a glass of water.

Yes, its only purpose was to drink water. He had involuntarily woken up very dry, so he had to fulfill his basic need.

With a big violent sigh, he scratched his non-existent belly after finishing.

"How can this produce such a pleasurable sensation?" He asked into the air, as he headed back to his bed. His steps determined and his chin held high, he finally looked at his bed.

Where he lay peacefully, his butt in the air, enjoying the comfort. Where he slept again.

...

A firefly fluttered through the night air, its light flickering like a beacon in the darkness.

The endless night, its extent could not be understood; and the firefly, guided by its instincts, was determined to make the most of its potential, exploring the misunderstood.

In his ignorance, she had dreamed of exploring vast areas beyond his world, which was represented in the nearby forest where she made his home.

Exploiting opportunities, the firefly flew over fields and streams, through gardens and cities, without stopping to rest or enjoy the views.

While flying, the firefly thought about everything it wanted to achieve. She wanted to see the world, experience new things, experience different environments.

She was driven by a fierce ambition, the desire to make the most of her short life that hung like a sickle, of which she was aware.

Sickle, a tool she had seen being used.

The firefly knew that it could not waste a moment, that every second counted. So she flew on, her light shining brighter with every beat of her wings.

Through ignorance becoming knowledge, the firefly never gave up. She kept flying, kept exploring, until he saw everything she wanted to see.

When she finally returned to her forest home, she was content, a feeling of fulfillment eternally surrounding her.

And she rested eternally.

When an old toad positioned hisself strategically, in such a way that with one leap he ended the leap of freedom and ambition.

"Yoomi, yoomi. Firefly know knowledge." The old toad said as he tasted his food.

And this was not strange, because it was a dream. Federick's dream, who woke up drowsily, doubting whether the old toad would taste like ignorance...

"Today is a good day". Federick shouted shamelessly in the shower. He was getting ready to head out to meet his grandfather.

Without any prior appointment, he was going to summon the king. He was grateful for his right as a grandson...

But of course, he was going to mention him as his grandfather. Even as the beloved grandson, he could not perform as the King.

"Arrogant ignorance to wish it." He screamed senselessly, enjoying the lack of company. If you were a teenager, you would probably need to apply ointment during the shower.

"On the other hand, being a child is the best." He commented as he wiped away the moisture on his body.

...

Sweat appeared on his forehead, canceling out his previous bath. He had finally met his grandfather, who stood in front of him with a blank face.

"Time is valuable, Federick. Now, say what you want." Said Charles II stoic.

"I guess I'm just a normal grandson with his... normal Grandpa." Federick commented with a smile. His body language denoted a certain nervousness, without knowing how to articulate.

"I won't comment that, that argument lacks truth; so, what do you want to do?" Carlos II asked with a slight smile on his lips.

"A wife and lend me money." Federick commented stoically. His face like a board.

...

In the end, the board turned out to be a familiar tool for correcting bad behavior. And the only thing he got was a roasted butt.

"I guess there's no need to joke in times of tension." Federick said into the air, as he sat down carefully.

He was philosophizing, debating against himself. The latest development of events had escaped the possibility in his hands, so he wanted to increase his cards.

The giant was climbing on the tip of his foot...

There were different forms of power. Influence or numbers, they were possibilities within his reach.

But it was all simplifications through money.

He had learned an arrogant and ignorant lesson during his previous life: "Money, the main mobilizer; therefore, solver."

In his spare time, he had been doggedly researching his opportunities.

He deinvestigated different contexts, finally reaching a conclusion.

Finding the perfect location.

It reminded him of many of his former friends during his youth as Frederick, being a funny contrast to his "absent context."

"I guess I'll have to plagiarize." Federick said, as he immediately started laughing loudly at his own ironic joke.
