The night whipped under a cold wind. The trees stretched out their branches like whips, punishing the poor sinful devils. Without discrimination, it was pure holiness.
The wind whistled at the touch of the ear, like the laughter of little chaotic marauders. One mockery, two mockeries... Perpetual taunts.
Sparkling or rotten teeth?
It was not a question for a person running for his life to judge. When his instincts gathered and acted like revitalizing needles in his head, it was not possible.
Kale was running desperately, his train of thought unstoppable. Different negative emotions rested on his chest, rising and falling.
With great gulps of air, he never stopped. As if injected with adrenaline, he did not feel his setbacks.
Adrenaline...
His mouth was salivating more than usual, creating a real thermal space. The cold sweat was already making him uncomfortable, and his heart was pumping like a power station.
His will was focused on one thought that stood out above all others.
"Hey, hey, amigo-! Amig-!" a man shouted.
He was on the paved street, on his way home. He had been drinking in the bar until his skin turned red.
Kale felt a solid impact and was immediately on the ground again. Fortunately this time he didn't kiss the ground. But based on a reciprocal exchange, different scrapes were added to his body in disrepair.
Breathing out a big gulp of air, he reset himself on the ground. In order not to lie on the ground, he had rested all his weight on his wrists. Which was not a smart move because he was weak.
He breathed in and out, his arms trembling. In his dirt-covered eyes were reflected a myriad of countless things, which immediately expired in a distant memory.
When he finally stood up, he looked at the victim of his accidental tackling. A man, who smelled of thick alcohol.
"You bastard!... Damn, a poor lucky man is still a poor lucky man". complained the man on the ground.
Kale just watched him with fear in his eyes. His mind began to churn.
"You son of a bitch! I understand that it's the goddamn hour, but you understand that there are still citizens and pedestrians going about their day. The man repeated as he slowly rose to his feet.
The high concentration of alcohol in his blood was largely to blame.
Blood alcohol.
And sinful adrenaline.
"Why the fuck don't you fucking answer me, you fucking retard or what?! I swear I'll catch you here and I'll make you normal". The man said hyperactively.
Every word that came out of his mouth was stinky due to the high alcohol content in them.
At this, Kale simply reacted by slowly walking away from the violent guy.
But unfortunately, they shared neither thoughts nor intentions.
The man was angry and his anger was palpable. This was his usual shameless and violent behavior.
"Do you know how to remedy this?! Hey, tell me, tell me... Do you know how to remedy this?"! Said the man menacingly.
His footsteps were getting steadier by the second. Closer and closer to Kale who was walking away in bewilderment.
His fingers were no longer icy, feeling every millimeter of them. His ears were warm, and his eyes were invaded by reddish strands.
The old home had become a building. Paranoia was no longer the only tenant...
The man who had unfortunately fallen victim, came face to face with Kale. His smell was thick.
A spit was the act that broke the camel's back. Immediately one fell limply to the ground, again... But with a fresh bruise.
What's new!
But to his bewilderment, the "victor" ran from the scene. Paranoia and madness shine in his eyes.
Kale sincerely felt that above the skies of the city, there was an object that would engulf the world.
At this point, his shoes were already worn out but he was still running. Desperation tightened his chest.
Running at night was relaxing and fun. When the streets were quiet and the city lights sparkled like diamonds.
But this frosty night, it was deserted. The occasional lights were a mild comfort to the soul.
He started down a bustling street. Because of his discordant footsteps, he zigzagged through nothingness itself.
The faint lights of the bars and the moonlight reflected on the pavement, creating a natural, deserted spectacle. Of which Kale had no idea.
He quickened his pace and felt the adrenaline rush as he recreated hypothetical scenarios in his mind.
Out of the corner of his eye, he watched as a grief-stricken woman rested between her knees in a corner. Her cheap make-up criss-crossed and her expression was distressed.
She decided to duck into a dark alley, where the shadows cast an eerie glow on the walls. The only sound was the pounding of her footsteps on the pavement, with the faint drip of a broken pipe. At this, Kale gathered more courage to lose his pursuers.
He emerged from the alley and found himself in a deserted industrial area. Buildings loomed above him, their windows like empty eyes staring back at him. Kale ran through the deserted streets, with only the sound of the wind through the trees.
As he ran, the moon began to rise with greater vehemence, dispelling all dark clouds and casting a silvery glow over the city.
He felt a sense of peace come over him, dispelling his earlier madness. The darkness and stillness of the night was a balm to his heart as it was engulfed in a slow vortex.
Kai thought he had run for miles, the echo of his footsteps through the buildings being his only companion in his defiant challenge...
He felt alive and free, the night air invigorating his senses. As he ran, he felt a connection with his surroundings, his rhythms and energy coursing through his veins.
The last breath before death...
Finally, he stopped, his chest heaving. Kale looked up at the sky, the stars sparkling like diamonds in the night sky. He was thankful he had managed to escape, his hands shaking and his eyes blazing between reddish strands.
With a smile on his face, Kale turned around. It was there, where he could see two figures approaching.
Exploding required a simple switch.
...
Kansis slept grumpily. Mainly because of the blow he had received, and on the other hand, his employer. Now that he thought about it, it had been a bad deal.
In principle he was going to sleep with a clear conscience, recognizing that he had abandoned his greed to help his fellow man. But now he slept with a large blindfold covering most of his face.
Federick, on the other hand, had slept smoothly. Assuming his experiment had been a total failure.
The next day...
One rape and three murders were recorded.
Theres a disappeared.
The victims had been recognized as a woman, an old man, and a young man. They had died at similar times under aggravating circumstances.
The female victim had died of asphyxiation and the two male victims were beaten to death.
A man named Kale was recognized as the culprit. A rich merchant, and owner of a medium-sized business.
How?
He was discovered sleeping among the uncovered fresh organs of the young victim. In a completely savage act, the young man had been perpetrated to an unrecognizable extent.
A tragic night.
